SDA149 Sweet Reef in the Raw
In this episode of Sailing Dark Angel we take a 4 mile ride in our dinghy, Imp, to Foul Cay in the Moriah Harbour Cay National Park to experience one of the most beautiful reefs we've seen yet. With Turtles, Parrotfish, Sargeant Major fish, Triggerfish, Barracuda and so much more. The best way to dive is unencumbered by a bikini.
Afterward a quick visit to Chat n Chill ends up with meeting new friends who give us the parts to repair our solar power! Cruisers are AWESOME!

    An "All-In-One" inverter-charger may be good for a shore install, but having separate components (charge-controller, inverter, etc...) for a mobile/marine setup is SO much more versatile! Wishing you guys gentle winds and calm seas!

    • @SailingDarkAngel
      @SailingDarkAngel 2 дня назад

      Thanks for the info! We haven't been attached to shore, other than for fuel, for years. We have a separate Victron controller for each solar panel. We also have a separate Magnum charge inverter for the battery bank. We still had power with the failed converter, we just didn't have enough solar power without one of our 450W panels. Computers are thirsty for power so we constantly had to run the generator. Having said that, we'd LOVE to upgrade our battery pack to LiFePo4 and our inverter/charger to Victron!

      The beauty of the water in the Exumas just cannot be captured on camera. The app really helps a lot for servicing the generator. It tells us when we're overdrawing power, so we can adjust the draw, and when all of the maintenance is due. It tracks hours and service completion. Love it!
