    Chinese Buddhism not urges for power but for spiritual life. Body action and reaction mainly caused by externalities. Spiritual action caused by night dream or day dream when body is at rest. This dream gives peaceful getting.

    Not all Chinese restaurants are the same. Generally, you only critique restaurants which fulfill the following 3 criteria: 1. Has to be 3 Michelin star rated. 2. 100% packed with local Chinese all the time. 3. The restaurant would never accept advanced reservation but always has a long queue. With that said, try again and you will be surprised the results are 100% different.

      @wcdirect9217 We also went to a Michelin restaurant, expensive places, and cheap places with great quality food. You might want to check out those restaurants in an upcoming episode. The reason why I am so critical of the food in the video has two main reasons: 1) honest opinions about the places we visited; 2) a bit of confusion because Asia has such a great food culture, but in some places, you can't experience it. Even so, if I were allowed, I could show techniques on how to improve food quality and keep the food price. 😇

    1. To be precise, Hong Kong cuisine is basically Cantonese cuisine. 2. The green vegetables in the video should not be called pakchoy, but choy sum, which is originally green. Pakchoy is derived from the pronunciation of "white cabbage" in Cantonese. Because most of the previous immigrants were Cantonese, Cantonese became the most widely used language in Chinatown. Because there are too many kinds of vegetables in China, and the Chinese who opened restaurants are not so good at English, they simply call all green vegetables pakchoy, while pakchoy should be called Chinese cabbage in English, with green leaves and white stems. 3. The pork is called barbecued pork, a classic Cantonese dish. 4. The chicken is called salt-baked chicken, which belongs to the Hakka cuisine in Cantonese cuisine. 5. Guangzhou is a famous food capital in China. I strongly recommend that you find a local to take you to eat.

      @ultraclaveshermetium5709 27 дней назад

      you sound ridiculous :) everyone living in or near the market needs money to make their life simple, all the humans do this. Communism is atheist and materialist. Hence the focus of common people on money, the medium of exchange for goods and services. The mongol khan reprimanded the christian priests when he declined to convert, calling them (and I paraphrase) impious politicking weaklings who don't even believe in their own god. buddhism is a religion with a lot of sects in it's long history. Most of these have a soteriological focus usually underpinned by phenomenology. Those sects with a more political focus usually have a culturally shaped ontology. The Buddhasassana is discourse and methods for knowledge of phenomena and the resolution of dissatisfactory states of being. It's religion, and it most often mixes freely with whatever else is on the menu at the time. Puritans set themselves aside. Daoism is "roadism" like Shaktism is "powerism". Daoism is mostly about the transformation of individual beings physical existence. Transform the body from sick to healthy. From weak to strong. Confucian rites are from the western standpoint tantamount if not exactly what religious cult is. Hence why the liberally minded Christians in china wanted to incorporate confucian rites into the church liturgy, but there were doctrinal incompatibilities. There were "100 schools of thought", and Mozi and Zhuangzi are just two of the exponents we still know the names of. Legalism also we can say some things about the historical record thereof.

    Most people are not aware that the Chinese actually have one God, though we call IT(not Him or Her) differently . Our belief system comes in just three simple words of Tian(Heaven) ,Ti (Earth) and Ren ( Human). All temples have a rounded Altar to Heaven outside, round representing Heaven without any figurines,the Temple is square representing Earth and those inside the Temple are Humans .Take notice that only the Temple of Heaven in Beijing is round. This is the reason for the three jossticks or three bows when we pray.That is also the reason that a Chinese can be a Taoist/Buddhist and Confucianist at the same time as all religions are man made, only Heaven and Earth are not.

Do you know that the Temple of Heaven and The Imperial Palace is situated along the line of the North Star which is at the true north of the Earth or along the axis of the Earth .The North Star is the the star that does not move and has been used since time immemorial for humans and perhaps animals for location.

    The lady in the video made a mistake, Laozi was not the founder of Taoism. Laozi is the author of "Tao Te Ching". He only circulated this book throughout his life. Because there are so many philosophical thoughts in it, later believers founded Taoism based on this book. The Tao Te Ching is interesting. It explains the formation of the universe and teaches people to follow the laws of the universe. Later generations extended it based on the philosophical ideas of this book and became the "Book of Changes". The Tai Chi Bagua chart and Chinese numerology were born from here.

    • @ultraclaveshermetium5709
      @ultraclaveshermetium5709 27 дней назад

      Considering Laozi as Taishang Laojun, he's the founder. Zhang Daoling considered him as such, and he (Zhang Ling) is considered the Celestial Master Sect founder. But his vision was of the deified Laozi, Taishang Laojun. Fuxi is said to be also Taishang Laojun. Because that aspect of being is the "transcendentally existent" "Teacher" which has manifest existence as "historical people" including Fuxi, Da Yu and Laozi. Bagua are innate nature represented. Tai Chi boxing is a new thing.

  • @yoingen

    The native religion of China is Taoism, which was later introduced to Buddhism and Muslims, and finally to Christianity. Taoism and Buddhism have evolved from religions into philosophical systems in China, and many Chinese idioms and words are derived from them.They affect Chinese people's character, life, and all aspects. Taoism and Buddhism in China are very peaceful. You can be a Taoist and a Buddhist at the same time. There is a historical novel in China called "Journey to the West". The play tells the story of a monk who went to India to seek Dharma during the Tang Dynasty. The monk had an apprentice who was a monkey turned from stone. He first worshiped Taoist gods as his teachers, learned many skills, and then converted to Buddhism. The purpose of Taoism is: As long as you don't influence me, it doesn't matter whether you believe in me or not. Therefore, Taoism generally does not preach. The tenet of Buddhism is: all things are equal and everything has cause and effect. In short, religion is wonderful in China. Many people are atheists, but religious philosophy affects everyone.

    China is very safe. Comparing to the US, the US is extremely unsafe. In China, I never experienced any taxi driver trying to rib me off with my money. I visited several cities, food stalls and shopping areas, none, none except only Alipay or weChat. Most accept weChat. WeChat is the used even for things sold on the streets. Therefore, if you know how to use weChat and have China SIM Card, you are ready to go everywhere in China. Strange, I never seen any Public toilet without proper toilet to poo or piss. Most are pretty clean. There are people responsible for cleaning the toilets and their pictures and names are display on the wall of each toilet. Oh, i forgot to mention. Like in many South East Asian countries, there are tons of restaurants from cheap street stalls to average price to super expensive ones. Choose one that is up to your expectation. I went to small, clean restaurants in China that even advise you to wash your hands at the vanity before you eat. So, if your budget allows, avoid joining the rowdy crowd at the street stalls. Finally, I was in China for 5 months, travelling through crowded trains and stood in long queues, never caught a flu. In the US, when we are down with flu, we have the bad habit of not wearing mask and pretend that everything is fine. But in China and also in Japan, please wear a mask when you are sick.

    Why do you only do close ups of the dormitory rooms? And why do you film trash bags in the trash room? If you film trash rooms in an American dormitory, it’s the same thing. What are you trying to get at? 600RMB a month is less than 100USD. We paid more than 2000USD a month living in an American dormitory and that was more than 20 years ago when I was in college. Right now, it’s a lot more expensive. One semester of room and board can cost more than 10,000USD. It’s a lot cheaper to go to college and get room and board anywhere in China than anywhere in USA. Going to college in USA is insanely expensive which is why most American students graduate with tons of debts.
