Amazing video, A friend of mine referred me to a financial adviser sometime ago and we got talking about investment and money. I started investing with $120k and in the first 2 months , my portfolio was reading $274,800. Crazy right!, I decided to reinvest my profit and gets more interesting. For over a year we have been working together making consistent profit just bought my second home 2 weeks ago and care for my family.
I’ve been forced to find additional sources of income as I got retrenched. I barely have time to continue trading and watch my investments since I had my second daughter. Do you think I should take a break for a while from the market and focus on other things or return whenever I have free time or is it a continuous process? Thanks.
@@EmilyEvelyn-90 Quitting may not be the best approach if you ask me. This is where an AI comes into the picture. I barely have time to trade myself as my job swallows up most of my time. *MARGARET MOLLI ALVEY* ...

Eligibility to do catch up contributions is the YEAR you turn 50. Not the day you turn 50. So jan 1 of that year your able to start doing catch up contributions. Fyi
Hi you guys are very good at what you do and I must say most others don’t give much importance to the information really needed to be addressed . At 55 I’m new to this and also and not able to work because of illness. I have a 401K to rollover from my previous job but issue is I’m not sure where to. But I would love to invest some of that asap. Any help?
Hi Steve, thank you for the compliment and thank you for watching our videos. We can help you figure out how to handle your rollover and help you understand this investing world. I saw you joined our FI Academy. As you watch the videos it will become a lot clearer. Also please send us any questions you have if the info isn’t clear.
Hi thanks to getting back to me , I start the video last night. I can use all the help I can get.
You could also use some investments as savings accounts. Buy several shares of a certain investment. If you need the money sale the shares.

When i turn 50 i will definitely use the catch up rule.❤💪🏾💪🏾💪🏾💪🏾

Yes, maxing out for a decade would be over $300k invested.
That's $310,000 and it will probably change in the future and will be more 💰💰💰💰💰💰💰💰💰💰
I am 57 and I’m not planning on retiring in my 50’s. I work remote so if I can work until 65 that would be great. I’m playing catch up and investing in my 401K Roth but my expenses are low, and I’ll be debt free in 2025. Once I’m debt free I will start maxing out my retirement. I started putting myself first 7 years ago when I read “The Total Money Makeover”. Great content ladies! ❤
Great video! Im a Genx and took so many notes!
Thank you! We’re so happy you found the video useful
Love it... ❤️ ❤ This is what I have been saying to my sister.

I’ll qualify for a pension at age 50, I’m currently 48 and a 1/2 😂 not that I’m counting down or anything 😂
Nice! Thats so cool that you got a pension.
Gen xer 53 will retire two years at 55.No debt including home is the most important base for retirement.Get educated on investing nobody cares about your money like you.Investing is my sports.I don't watch sports I watch markets.Happy investing/stacking.
Nice! Investing is your sport. We like that one! Congrats on getting ready to retire.
Gen X is the best. We got this. Getting a second job so I can retire on time. Get gold and silver for hard times ahead.
Gen X is the best! Interesting that you said gold and silver. Why do you like those?
I am 59 and retired five years ago, after 28 years, with a pension. I purchased a modest home in my 20s and did not upgrade, although my increase in salary allowed me to. This turned out to be my best decision, due to increase in property taxes and insurance. I can maintain on my pension alone. The key is to live below your means.
We totally agree that living below your means is crucial. Congrats on retiring way before 65!
Ready
I refuse to work till 65!!!
We hear ya! What are you doing to make sure you can retire beforehand?
What you are saying is so true!!!!
Thank you!
My retirement plan is to leave the USA and go back to my home country or somewhere in Asia. I’m not paying an arm, leg, body just for the privilege of existing in America as I age! There are other options out there, especially for younger generations. Hopefully more younger people get on board the exit bus!
True geo arbitrage is a great idea if you willing to do it. There are many countries where savings can go far.
Im Gen X. Im already able to retire at 48 years old but I want $2.5 MILLY. Im on track to hit my retirement goal age of 60 im 12 years with $2.5 MILLY. As soon as I hit $2.5 i will retire. Wish me luck.🤞🏾🤞🏾🤞🏾🤞🏾💰💰💰💰💰
We wish you luck! 2.5 milly is a great number! We hope you hit it before 60. Also love the fact you call it milly! Ha
@WealthTwins thanks 🤞🏾🤞🏾🤞🏾🤞🏾🤞🏾
This is so encouraging 👏🏾. I’m a Xillennial (An older Millennial born on the cusp of being a Gen X). My husband is an actual Gen X so I’m sharing this information with him. Thank you both!!!
Xennials are a subset of Gen X. We were born 1977-1983. We’re still “actual” Gen X’ers we just relate more to older Millennials.
You’re welcome! I guess we would be considered Xillennials as well depending on what info you look at.
Yup!

What I am thankful for this Thanksgiving! On Aug 9, 2018 I was horribly injured by a home invasion! I was shot in the vack with a compound bow, stab 25+ times in the head, neck, and etc, multiple broken ribs, crack skull, and left for dead. It was a miracle and a blessing from God I survived this horrific attack and was granted to continue my journey of life in total darkness and nerve damage that causes complete hearing loss in right ear and only 50% hearing in left ear do to the dramatic brain injury along with vocal cord on right side is permanent paralyzed do to nerve damage, i have face paralyzed on left side of face so no control of smiling and etc. i lost my left eye as it was stabbed out and right eye is gone do to optic nerve is atrophy so no eyesight at all. I am thankful and great full that even with my injuries I still perform task independently with help with accessibility features on apple devices called voice over screen reader and other hand tools that either talk or click to assist me to navigate my environment without eyesight. I thankful and great full I still go hunting and fishing without eyesight with assistance of technology and a spotter who tells me directions and when to fire my shot! I have multiple things to be thankful for as our only income is SSDI benefits from social security at age 38 I started receiving those benefits in beginning of 2019. I am thankful and grateful for our community, family, friends, and strangers that assist us in our daily life as our hardships and struggles are real and with faith and gods blessings and guidance we will continue to maintain and be patient and humble. We remain contentment and optimistic that with medical technology and medical science that I be able to see my wife and son again and everything and everyone again with a bionic eye! What you have to be thankful for this Thanksgiving?
Please address healthcare for retirement prior to age 65. This is a major concern when considering retiring at age 59, for instance. With the ACA under threat what are our options? Pre existing conditions coverage will potentially be gone.
Straight Facts!...
Ok, thanks for letting us know. We’ll see what we can do.
All of the early retirement videos I watch are from Gen X lol.
Ha! That’s just more proof that it can be done!
Gen X is 1965 to 1980. The oldest gen x is 59, youngest would be 44. I am currently 59 And will turn 60 next year. I will retire. Not feeling that I can’t. I do not have a ton of money in 401K, I do have a small pension I will draw. The secret is living within your means.
Yup! Living within your means is definitely plays a huge part.
2030 is my retirement goal. I will get a pension but I'm not 100% sure if it will be enough. I'll figure it out, tho. I'm not working myself into a grave. Nope.
We wish you the best of luck. Please remember the points we talked about in the video - they should all help you.
I’m a teacher. I will have a pension and I’m contributing to a 403B and ROTH. Do I count what I will receive for my pension towards my retirement number?
Great question! Yes you can count it towards your retirement number.
@ I was one of those Gen Xers feeling pessimistic about retirement. After watching this video and calculating my retirement number, I’m feeling better about retirement. Thanks ladies!
I will retire.
Great!
Me too. Period and pointblank. And if things go the way I want, it will be sooner than later.
Hello. Great info. I have no children, and my parents are not alive. I'm 6 years from retirement. I have investments, and will live in one of my properties, because they will be paid off, and have enough for the taxes by house hacking.
Thank you! That's great that you have a set time when you will retire and that you have a plan on how to get in some income without working! Great job!
I have a 403b with my work A outside Roth IRA with Fidelity and a brokerage account with Acorns and a HYS with Ally
This is spot on!! I am following this advice. I'm 52 and working towards a DIGNIFIED retirement. Thanks Ladies!!
Thank you! Oooh we like that " dignified retirement!"
I appreciate this video. I'm a 50 year old Gen Xer who's self-employed, and I definitely am thinking about my future.
Exactly. Don’t let this time go to waste. You can prepare and plan now.
Are you ready to take control of your retirement planning?
