Every year I have a spring clean of our garage and shed. I do a song,marry,avoid as I call it and anything we have not needed or replaced I get rid. Either rubbish tip, Facebook market place or donate. I’m 70 and don’t want our boys to have a mammoth task when I go.💋❤️🇫🇷

I am so sorry to hear of your loss Paul. I have been a hospice nurse in southern England for many years and we can only continue to provide high quality care by receiving donations. It is so hard to sort through our loved ones possessions. Love to you both.

An emotional time, when sorting loved ones things. Onwards and upwards, your mum would not want you pondering in sorrow, above all just remembering the goods times that you had with her. That's what I do every day thinking of my parents. Time does heal the broken heart, and the memories heal the mind. Be strong, wishing you a great healing process. ❤

This was a huge labor of love and would have been very emotional for you. Your Mum would be very proud of you and is right there with you ( I believe) encouraging you! After my mother died, I felt that she was closer than ever.❤ Take care of yourselves. xo

Went through this process last year ourselves. Very hard to do, but like you, we gave a lot to a particular charity shop which had a special meaning - it helped a little bit to cope. Best wishes.
