Im disliking this video because the title was click baity and misleading. The title says AVOID MOVING TO SC but in the video she says SC is great and is not discouraging people from moving here. Also, the ten reasons where also extremely obvious generic and obvious like it's hot or there's hurricanes.

I grew up here. It gets over 100 degrees??? Duh!!!! It’s hot. Always has been always will be. It floods, it’s well below sea level. If you buy a home you might need flood insurance if you can get it. This is all elementary science and geography 101. BTW a CL 100 is mandatory if you are getting a loan.

The "CHARM" quotient has all but totally DISAPPEARED here. It's more like a hustling and bustling perpetual city wide construction project which also encompasses all surrounding areas. Can you say the word TRAFFIC??????? There are no "good times" to leave your house to avoid it, so don't get any ideas in your head along those lines either. P.S. The ocean temperature in the summer here maintains a steady 85 degrees or more.

100% do not recommend moving to Charleston.

Enjoy spending 2 hours in traffic too and from work everyday. You better live right next to where you work. Also you could buy a 500,000 dollar house next to a run down gang area. Your realtor is not allowed to mention this

I moved from CT to Southern SC and I'll take 90 over 10 any day lol. Also VERY little cloudy and rainy days are a massive improvement over the NE area, that can see rain for days sometimes.

I will be relocating to South Carolina and recently had my professional license as a Child/Adolescent Clinical Trauma Therapist approved. I have been here 10 years. I wish my husband woukd have told me about the traffic. I have never lived in a city of this size and population that only has ONE HIGHWAY! I understand one of the reasons is because it's on a peninsula. And for Charleston to be such a huge tourist destination, shopping and entertainment sucks here. No real mall. No zoo, waterpark, or amusement park. Music artist don't come here for concerts. And when they do, it's a week night. Parking downtown and at the beaches is the worst. But being just a few hours from ATL, Charlotte, Raleigh/Durham, Jacksonville, Orlando and Savannah means that zoos, shopping, concerts, and such are not too far away.

COULD YOU TELL US IF THERE ARE CDD FEES ON TOP OF THE HOA FESS AND WHICH ONES ARE THOSE ALONG WITH THEIR CURRENT PRICES OR COSTS.....

Don't, way to many people in a small area, congestion, high costs, please don't move there!

If you can afford it, Mount Pleasant is the most desirable area.

I have been telling homeowners the grayish flooring, walls, etc is out. Always make you home timeless with light airy colors and natural words.

I love the drive under open air garage area. I think more homes need to do this in IN and FL. VERY COOL‼️

I moved in my new home in West Ashley and forgot to do my 4% exemption. I filed my paper work last month at the auditors office along with my 2 year refund. How long does it take to get the refund? Thank you in advance.

I’ve lived in Summerville for 30 years. It’s a shadow of its former self. WAY too much traffic and congestion. Every time I turn around there’s another 30 acres of forest clear cut for another ugly monster apartment complex or overpriced housing development. The roads and schools can’t keep up with the unregulated growth. They’ll fine homeowners $5,000 for cutting down a tree… yet developers wipe out 100’s of acres of trees for another car wash, Dollar General, or storage facility.

Same can be said of Savannah, GA. Moved from NJ You n 1994, but left 15 years ago. The traffic is brutal. The noise downtown is brutal. The humidity and bugs are brutal. The smell of the paper mill might still be brutal.

I grew up in the Charleston area in the 70s & 80s. The traffic has absolutely EXPLODED.

You failed to mention the incredibly high monthly fees at the Horizons. The horses may be affordable but the fees aren't!

I like the idea of living in a villa but 1,000 sq ft is too small. Yes, you can add a second floor but seniors don't want to be climbing stairs as they get older. The builder should have made the units larger (1,600 sq ft or so) with a single story.

If anyone is looking for a realtor you will find none better than Sarah. Her knowledge of the area and how to meet your housing goals is very impressive. She helped my family with moving from out of town and no experience with purchasing a home. Just a wonderful person to work with.
