great video and. a good mastery of the subject. a scene that is now part of French culture: Bourvil, Louis de Funes and the Citroen 2cv in the film "Le corniaud".
Cool video but why does he say the last word of each sentence all slllloooowww, lol. He sounds normal in the other parts
Thank you for the remark. I was trying something different and I quite liked it at the time. Future videos have been done with regular voice throughout. Thank you for watching. Very much appreciated!
Looks like a good spot to film a fight!
Shimokita is a great place for thrifting. For anybody in the area, I recommend Coaster. They have amazing hamburgers and cold beer on tap.
OK, so, when did he add the melted butter???
Its complete an ethnic GHETTO. I lived there for decades. It's not worth it at all. it full of chicket coops. It's expensive as hell. people are leaving in droves.
Wher did you get that parking pass??
You can buy the pass at REI in Burbank
Sympa comme endroit 👍
Oui, c'est super, et l'air de la mer fait vachement du bien.
witch camera you use
I'm using the Sony rx100 VII. It's not a fancy camera but it gets the job done.
@@TheDavidNeytsShow The picture is amazing i noticed good qvality maby better then profi eqvipment
Oh, thank you. I guess I must have done well with the color correction and warp stabilizer. In my editing software I do a bunch of things to modify the picture and make it look better than what it is straight out of the camera. I am looking into getting a better camera eventually so that I can capture even more cinematic shots.
Ah I have a top loading waffle maker and don't think the thick batter will work
Oh that's a pity. Maybe you can find a good deal on a similar waffle maker that I used in the video and try out the recipe.
Great video once again David!
Thank you so much for the compliment. I'm always happy to read positive comments about my videos.
I love this content. I remember watching the other comic strip videos you made. I watched them over and over
Ah, thank you. Yes, I've made 4 videos about the Brussels murals. Maybe I'll do another one but I think I've covered a big chunk of them. In the future I want to do a video about the Comic Strip museum in the heart of Brussels.
This viewer stayed at the fine Hotel of Hyatt Place - Glendale, CA. When I went to the Ms. Angelina Jordan Concert.!!! Very Nice!
Yes, the Hyatt and Glendale in general is a really nice area to visit and stay in. Much calmer and safer than Hollywood.
What Christian Eriksen doing here🤣
I will take that as a compliment ;-)
I actually enjoy Amos & Andrew a lot.
Sometimes cheesy movies are still enjoyable. I actually enjoy it too even though it's not my favorite.
Grew up in France in the 60s and 70s. Thank you for an amazing summary. Can you please do a "follow-up" with original audio tracks with subtitles for the American audience?
I've been focusing more on travel videos but maybe I might do a follow up to this video. I know that American audiences don't know about De Funes as much even though he is a genius in comedy.
Tried this recipe by cutting ingredients in half but keeping the ratio. I found some issues: 1. Butter is too much and the mixture becomes too oily. As someone mentioned in the comments, something between 25-50% should be enough. 2. Yeast is too much. It gives you fluffy texture (you DON'T want this much in Belgium waffles) and a bit of yeasty flavor. 3. Too many eggs. You end up with a slightly watery mixture. Other than that, waffles were still good enough but next time I'll try to reduce some ingredients.
I'm glad you found your way to make the recipe fit your taste. I make them exactly as in the video and it always comes out perfect. Of course cooking is an art and I highly recommend modifying the recipe to fit their tastebuds. Hopefully you can perfect it to be the taste that you are looking for.
Dzieki za film. Pozdrawiam z Polski❤😊 Greeting from Poland
Dziękuję! Cieszę się, że się podobało. Pozdrawiam z Los Angeles!
I’m looking for the places where Pink Floyd filmed See Emily Play and Paint Box
I think these are the places where Pink Floyd filmed: Battersea Park, located in the London Borough of Wandsworth features prominently in the video for "See Emily Play." The City of London - Various urban settings were used to capture the essence of the time. If you're looking to explore, these areas are great starting points to appreciate the backdrop of Pink Floyd's early work!
When I went to visit Dino Delaurentiis at his mansion in the Hollywood hills, that was before he died in 2007, he had his butler drive me to see the Hollywood sign close by. Although I wasn’t really interested about that sign not till after Dino’s death in 2010 and that I studied much about the sign, how it was erected there in 1923 as a housing development advertisement that read Hollywoodland. A young actress name Peg Entwhistle committed suicide there leaping to her death jumping from the letter H after she was cut off from 18 minutes to three minutes in movie titled 13 women.
Wow, that’s an incredible story-visiting Dino De Laurentiis at his Hollywood Hills mansion must have been an unforgettable experience! The Hollywood Sign has such a layered history, from its origins as 'Hollywoodland' to the more somber stories like that of Peg Entwistle. It’s interesting how certain things gain deeper meaning over time, especially with a bit of historical context. Thanks for sharing!
Very tempting to jump into that waterfall!
I would agree during the hot summer days for sure!
Great to be able to touch and refresh with this alive water when weather is hot there ! ;)
Yes, in California we are very lucky to have a bunch of hikes with beautiful nature.
So where did you buy those waffles from?
I went to "LOS CHURROS & WAFFLE" - Rue de Tabora 4, Bruxelles 1000 Belgique
Great video man
Thank you for the compliment
Thank you! Is anyone else soooooo tired of seeing graffiti virtually every where?
I agree, random Graffiti's are an eyesore.
Why there is no milk?
Because you don't need it. Works the way I do the recipe.
Fantomass, Restaurant, Razinja was my faves
Yes, the Fantomas series is amazing. Le Grand Restaurant is really good too. Razinja is actually the Russian name for the French movie Le Corniaud, which is a colloquial way of saying "idiot". I love how the names are changed from one country to the other but the humor is appreciated in different countries.
I love echo park ❤
I can echo that thought.
Great getaway area!
Yes, very beautiful countryside in this area.
Wauw impressive landscape !
Yes, it's beautiful
gentrification not only got rid of gangs but also Latino poor families, let clear this up !
Yes, that is true.
Omg wow the city hall is so beautiful. What time did you go? It looked empty!
If you go during the day on a weekday it’s pretty empty.
Beautiful towns. I want to visit someday.
You should, it's really worth it!
Enjoyed your tour immensely. Thank you!
Thank you, I’m so glad you enjoyed the video. This was my favorite countryside location in Japan.
I’have been recently, gratued there, and now the andre Vesal (and Camille Jose) have marge with Jean Absil. And so there is like 250 people only in the first year and 10 classes, so we were like 1.200-1.400 students in there.
I went to André Vesale for my primary school and then went to Jean-Absil for secondary school. Lots of good memories from both schools. Jean-Absil only had around 450 students in the 90s-early 2000s. The old principal, Mr. Capelle, was a great principal, and he had given me the keys to both Absil and André Vesale to film a bunch of scenes in both schools. I filmed in the parking lot of Absil, the gym room, cafeteria, and a bunch of the hallways and classrooms of André Vesale. If you're curious, I have another movie channel where you can see some of these movies: "Agent Double & Rumble Densetsu" www.youtube.com/@dneyts. There's also "Shadowed Daylight" which features on another channel: ruclips.net/video/5bBU7AzwmHY/видео.htmlsi=sORZTIpXfNPf-Ujh. By the way, if you are curious, on the Team Rumble channel link I listed, there's also a class school trip we did to the USA in 1998. Maybe you'll find it interesting to see the faces of the people back in the 90s. It's funny how RUclips didn't exist in those days, yet I filmed so many things in that school. Good memories!
Can I freeze these?
Yes, I do it all the time and it freezes really well. Just put in a sealed bag so that it stays fresh.
Laeken is a residential suburb in the north-western part of Brussels-Capital Region, Belgium. One of the parts of Laeken is Heysel Plateau (Heysel Park).
Definitely one of the nicest areas in Brussels. It’s very calm and the huge parks are often empty. It’s really nice to walk around there.
@@TheDavidNeytsShow Exactly. Unwanted and very sad attention is that on Heysel Platau is located King Baudouin Stadium (old Heysel Stadium) well-known because of 1985 disaster.
@@dexterdexter5863 Yes the distaster at Heysel stadium. I heard horrible stories about that event.
No sugar is sugar. There is no healthier sugars
Sweeteners like fruit juice, honey, molasses and maple syrup contain natural sugar and have some nutritional benefits. Fruit has fiber, vitamins and antioxidants. Even raw honey and maple syrup can contain antioxidants and minerals like iron, zinc, calcium and potassium. The bad types of sugar are regular table sugar (sucrose), added sugar, or the refined stuff you find in sodas, candy, cookies, ketchup, or processed foods. The recommended daily intake of sugar is approximately 6 teaspoons (25 grams).
This was Latino territory back then
Yes, you are right. Back in the day it was inhabited by many Latino families.
Mexican
What a sooooo lovely city ❤ And I didn't know for this huge earthquake. It's sad to see how powerful it was with the sort of "memorial" but I think it's important for people to see it and be conscient about the fact they have to be careful. And I'm surprised with the price of the beef. Because here, with non-kobe beef, we can pay a steak between 20 and 25 euros, easily 😅 Thanks a lot for this new beautiful video buddy! 🤜🤛
The beef was delicious but I also got the cheapest menu. If I had gotten the prime meat it would have been 4 to 5 times this price. I must say though that even the cheapest option rivals many good Japanese restaurants in Belgium. It is expensive relative to Japan restaurant prices where you can easily get a full meal between 4 to 10 dollars
Daaaaamn! I didn't know about this ninja town!! So cute and interesting, even that we know now that the ninja's were much more popularized in the movies than what it was in reality back in the days lol! The Nara park is also very nice and beautiful, I love it. And I loved also your last place, with the temple because there was less people there. Much better to feel a sort of meditation atmosphere 😊
Nara park where I show the deers and the quiet temple actually houses a bunch of temples all connected through the same park. I wish I could have stayed longer to explore more of the temples.
This mix between very old and modern is speechless, I looooooooooooove that!! It's really my favorite combination 😉 And as you said: sometimes when you "lost" yourself a little further, you discover some treasures, like this beautiful arcade of shops locked in time. So nice by the way 🙂
I kind of wished that they had more covered shopping areas in Brussels like they do in Japan. It makes sense in areas that have a lot of rain. The Japanese are truly great architects and engineers.
I think we can say without hesitation that Shibuya is a sort of "Disneyland" in the middle of Tokyo but without the attractions of course 😂 Or maybe a small Las Vegas with all these lights? 😁 But yeah this part of the city is one that we know better in Tokyo even if we never put a foot there lol! And I loved your ending scene, so quiet, it was a HUGE contrast with the rest of the video. Good job buddy 👍
Even in it's most busy areas the city is built in such a way that it respects its residents. From crowded streets to completely quiet areas just a few meters apart. You mention a smaller size Vegas. I actually feel the reverse. The lights in Tokyo and other major cities in Japan are actually much more impressive than Vegas. It's two very distinct and different worlds.
OMG this crowd!! 😅😅 Yeah I totally get what you said in this fish market: I think some people would not feel comfortable lol! And I loved the Fuji's building. For me it's like a sort of UFO that stopped there for a while, just enough time to recharge batteries and to go back home... (yeah ok I'm making a whole story here 😂) And I'm not a Gundam fan but wow... this robot is amazing!! And I think, for geeks like us, just having a robot in de middle of the city, it's just already a dream. We're not used to see that in Belgium lol! Thanks for this nice tour and let's continue the adventure with you! 🔥
My favorite place in the video is the old style arcade. I don't think I make it justice but it's just so big and truly has a huge variety of games from old to new. You could easily spend a whole day there.
Akihabara is like THE Mecca for geeks like us lol! But I heard that shops are surfing on this sort of wave and rises the prices very high compared to some other places 😐 Anyway, I still enjoyed your video with all these beautiful shops and places for geeks 😊
In Japan if you want to really get good prices you will need to go to other cities or venture to the countryside areas. RUclipsrs have made the prices in Tokyo way too high.
For me, I will go for less grandes vacances, sur un arbre perché, le gendzr6a St tropez, la grande vadrouille, oscar.
Those are really good choices too. There are so many fun De Funes movies to chose from.
I Love Jonna Napire 💜💚❤️ JUNE 6, 2024
I don't know who that is but, okay!
Love ferndell it was always a getaway for me , your right it’s pretty reclusive there ! Love love the Greek theater a fabulous venue for concerts, besides the Hollywood bowl my favorite places for live music! Griffith park was always a place to go! The house in the Los Feliz area were always dream homes to me thank you for you review your so right a nice place to visit let’s No forget the observatory so icon, remembering L.A school field trips up on the hill ❤❤😊
I really love this area. One thing I'll say about the Observatory, which is a real pity, is the fact that now parking on top of Griffith park is super expensive. So, only way to really hang out at the observatory is to either park at the bottom and hike all the way up or take a shuttle bus which departs close to the Greek theatre and even on lower streets in that area. Even with that it's still one of my favorite places to spend time in.
Nice. I would love to go to Nara one day.
You should, it's worth it! the deers are so friendly.
Have you ever been to koreatown?
Yes, I lived in Koreatown. I am planning to do a video in that area coming soon.
