Making music is a passion of mine. My instruments are the bandura (Ukrainian Harp), cello, lever harp, Native American Flute, and piano. I certainly am far from great, but it gives me much joy.

Hello! Thank you very much for doing this video tutorial! I was hoping to find something like this as there is a particular song I would like to be able to convert to NAF tab. I'm having problems though figuring out what version of MuseScore I need to download in order to do what you have done. Is there any way I can get some further help from you?
I am glad you found it helpful! I use Musescore 3.6.2 as I find the 4s still rather unstable. Go to musescore . org (NOT .com), then click on 'Download an older version' and about half-way down your will see 'Older versions' and choose your operating system. Musescore works on Apple, windows, Linex, and Chromebooks, but it does not work on tablets. Please do not hesitate to ask me any further questions you might have.

For the D flute, it may work to use the pads of your fingers in what’s called a Pipers Grip. That’s what I use on low tinwhistles otherwise I can’t reach
I had tried that briefly before and found I could not cover all the large finger holes well. I just now watched a RUclips video on it and it said it takes a good week of practice to get used to it. I will have to try again. Thank you for the suggestion!

Thank you! Yes, it certainly does have a harpsichord vibe to it! When I put a song into Musescore for the bandura I actually choose the 🎶playback instrument of harpsichord😃!

Thank you, Mary. It’s Eileen. I’m ordering a Blevins harp. They used to use Truitt levers, but since they’re gone, they switched to Forte. I was reluctant to, but this video has been super helpful. Interesting that these levers don’t press or pinch the strings. I wonder if fewer strings will break.
Eileen, It must have been a surprise to hear you would have to get a lever different than what you intended. I am pleased you found comfort in this video. I am still loving these levers. After I made this video Alex Marini found a very nice option to but bands on them which I since put on; makes it very useful to feel the correct lever on the blind side (the right side) of my double string harp. Fortes now can also come in blue or red, which I think is a great idea! Enjoy your new harp!

Wow, mulit-talented. Interesting "harp!"
It actually has cross-stung harp aspects. The strings are crossed with the accidentals more easily accessed at the hight top of the harp. Strings are metal, so played with fingernails. It has amazing resonance!
When I am ready for a second double harp - this will be the one I get. LOL. I am ordering an Argent Fox one right now.
The Marini Bass Double is an amazing harp and I HIGHLY recommend it. Enjoy your new Argent Fox. Be sure to get their Argent Forte levers for it😉. Game changer for a double-strung if you need to use accidentals on the blind (right) side of the harp.
Is that the Forte levers? I haven't gotten the harp yet - it is going to be built this year - I may checkout the Forte ones but I may mix Truitt on some of it as well. LOL.@@MaryJ-M
@@avemariadoula The Forte and the Truitts are very similar in action. I heard from someone else recently that they might be taking Truitts that they already have and using them, so perhaps that is why you would want to mix them? I would say if you need to mix then it would probably make the most sense to have the Truitts on the left side and the Fortes on the 'blind' right side due to their helpful curvature. I really think I would be hesitant to mix different levers on the same side because they might have a different 'throw'' feel that could be confusing while changing for accidentals in the middle of a song.
OK, I may try that then. I just feel like I wouldn't want to waste my levers - my other harp is not in good condition. @@MaryJ-M

Is the stabilizer bar required for playing this model while standing?
Since the soundboard is narrow the strap alone does not keep the harp too steady. The stabilizer bar works great with the strap for standing! Check out this May 29th post on Marini Made Harps Facebook page. Vivian comments about the stability in the many different ways the harp can be played. I think I may have found a sister harp to yours in-stock at Marini Made Harps; I hope they still actually have it! It's just like yours--cherry with gold Forte levers! If they still have it, I may have to grab it up! Such a neat combination of properties, and I love the warm, mellow tone of yours in this video!
