I’m just about go check out one of these
Finally a p bass that doesn’t sound like complete ass. It has some balls and not full boomiensss
ergh drum gear drives me insane. the more i hear fancy gear the more i think it doesnt sound really any different to completely bog standard gear. my snare drum could probably be bought for 50 euro and i can get it to sound just like this or better. get a cheap snare, get some decent heads. try a good selection of sticks to see what makes the best sound. get drumming.
Are those round wound strings on a fretless neck? Ugh
Can you please tell me what the ohm readings are in all 3 positions on the pickup Thanks
Turn up!! Well done, otherwise.
Очень хочу купить такой бас но у нас их просто нет(((((
Good chops! Also this bass has some great tones. I'm more of a basic Precision bass guy but I can definitely appreciate this bass. Alex Webster is a phenomenal bassist. I would go as far as to say as far as Death Metal (Extreme Heavy Metal in general) Alex Webster is the Godfather. All due respect of course to Chuck Schuldiner.
GOOD!
It's amazing how far video quality has come in 10 years.
I just bought one of these used, I hope it's held up as well as this 10 yr old video. I don't think I didn't notice you threw a little Blood Sucking Leaches in there ... Sweet!
Nice job Eathan! ;)
how does it compare to spector euro 5 lx?
same garbage
I've got a track one of these down because they're getting hard to find the older versions, and they're much cooler than regular stingrays and nobody seems to understand that haha!!!
I totally get it, just scored one from 2004, a beautiful BEAST
Nice. I have a 1997 musicman Sterling. Love to play it.
Comerzialien esta marca en México. 🎸😁. Es una excelente marca
I have that bass! Love it!
I've got one. Fantastic instrument. Clear tone with strong lows.
Is that a dick hanging from the bass? 8====D
This dude sold me one for 300$ glad I dropped it
I have one of these; an earlier version I purchased back in early 2000's. One of my favorite snare drums. I put Remo Fiberskyn FD batter and Remo hazy Ambassador snare side heads on it along with DW branded snare wires and that resulted in an ideal wood-shell snare drum for me. It is very versatile for just about any musical genre I wish to play. Based on my experience with this drum, I recently purchased a Pacific Limited Edition 7 1/2 x 14" maple/walnut snare drum just to have a deep wood shell snare drum, and I am equally pleased with it as well. And they both have great rimshot and cross-stick sound due to the wood hoops. Pacific really does have great value for the money in drums in my opinion.
Killer tones... How much does it weigh?
Nice playing and sounds as good or in some cases better than basses costing far more. When both pickups are full on, you can hear the entire frequency range, nothing is missing. Ya can't go wrong with Spector!
puttig o-ring on it must be equated to crime officially
I want it......! 😂
What amp are you using? Sounds great!
Neck dive?
Awesome , the bass Ok but the bass player is Genius I try to find the exact tab
Amazing. You should do more videos with better audio and video quality. Beautiful Stingray. I got one, same color!
Show de bola muito bom
Neck dive on a strap?
is it a maple snare?
Yes it is
Best demo guy on the web. Because of you, I'm buying this exact bass.
Hey......Charlie Day plays bass!? Haha but seriously, really sweet bass.
I don't see the point of these. What you should get in a budget range is a slightly watered-down version of the daddy, and this sounds no better than a bass half its price. It sounds nothing like a Spector. It's just the name on the headstock, and that's not enough. I don't want the name - I want the sound, and this bass doesn't do it.
This bass sounds great!
How does the neck feel? Smooth or a bit sticky?
Prog Bass it's not smooth like a fender bass or a schecter. but it's not an annoying 'sticky'. However I've only tried it for atleast 15-20, so I don't know how it performs in heat.
I have one. The neck is satin, and feels much smoother than my MIA P bass. Plus the nut is 1.57 so halfway between jazz and P so it feels great, zero fatigue for me while playing.
This bass sounds incredible for this price point!! There is some really nice playing going on there as well. A very impressive review. No silly slapping either....hallelujah!!
@@longdongbongchongDo the pickups need a battery?
fef7 for the preamp yes. Pickups no.
Great demo! SO refreshing to see a demo of a bass by a bass player. Nice technique!
Sweet
is it worth getting a very good(2nd hand) condition one for 200$?
Bela sonoridade
Just wanted to say, thanks for demoing the bass. Am getting it, and you demonstrated scooping the mids - the exact tone i was looking for! Even though it was not a professional setup, I still gleaned the required info that'll stop my cold feet. Thanks so much!
I love your reviews. Just a normal behaviour, loose and easy, but a hack of a player.
Got any more Ocheltree Snares bro????????
I've owned one of these for a few months now, and I'm convinced the switch is just there for show. There is very, very little difference in sound regardless of what position you have it in and in a mix there is no way to tell which mode is activated. A great sounding and playing bass to be sure, but the switch is pointless.
Not true. There is a definite difference. The only thing that would make it not obvious is broken electronics or totally dead strings.
With new strings you notice a difference for the first 2 days, then it's back to making no difference.
I had been saving the money up to buy this bass and I go into the shop the other day with every cent I needed and BAM it sold two days before I went there
explain it with a bit more of passion n enthusiasm....alex would ve kicked ur ass for doing it this way......wake up......
Suck it, fanboy.
+Ethan Thompson Hey Ethan, you're a fantastic musician. Where can I hear your playing outside of these demos?
Ha. Funny you should say something so nice in reply to me being a poor sport. Thanks. I appreciate it. I really don't have much on here other than these old demonstrations from a music store that I used to be employed by. I'll see what I can dig up. Maybe find me on Facebook. I'll reply to you with that address and see if I can dig something up. :)
Let me know if you have website or something. I've actually been using your music store noodling as practice material thinking, this dude is coming up with this stuff off of the top of his head! I wonder what his real stuff is like.
Not as noodly. Ha! Thanks again.
Good demo. Thanks for demonstrating the different pickup options using different techniques on the same bass line. Comments helpful, not a bunch of BS. Also nice to hear a real bass player demo it. Well done!
What's the song's name you played in the 2:38 ???
Just bought that very same bass and it works like a dream. Great bass if you're looking for something flashy
Jordan Bloch Where'd you get it from? I'm trying to get my hands on one as well.
Pat Orlowski I bought it on Musicians Friend
This guy could make any bass sound incredible.
