Following your dreams is hard ey? In this film I go into my own personal story of how I have been trying to follow my dreams and how it has made me unhappy in certain cases. Why do we follow dreams? Why do we keep going? Why do we make art?

BEST STRATEGY to learn filmmaking for beginners
Просмотров 565Год назад
I made this video to help beginner filmmakers learn how to learn filmmaking with a simple strategy. I compare learning filmmaking to learning a language, because in reality, film is a language, a visual language. Input is super important for language learning, but so is output. I talk about how these principals can be applied in a method to learning filmmaking and becoming fluent in the filmmak...
More CINEMATIC Looking Footage with ONE editing trick (kind of)
Просмотров 770Год назад
This is a quick video about an editing trick I recently discovered which I felt, made my footage look more cinematic and aesthetic. It is the trick of applying film grain to your footage. Yeah, I know, not the most exciting thing in the world, but I really do feel that it can make my footage look more "cinematic" or "film like" because it adds texture and personality to the footage. I've just r...
What My Failed Video Business Taught Me About Life
Просмотров 397Год назад
So I wouldn't exactly call my attempt at a summer video business a success. In fact, my video business kind of failed. But there is a lot that this experience taught me about business, goals and life. In this video, I talk a bit about my experience coming back to University after my video business failed in the summer, and I talk a bit about what the whole experience taught me. Failing is a par...

I hope this video can give you some insight into how one can get video clients, and maybe on...

Starting a videography business can be pretty tricky and I know this from experience. In this video, I talk about my funny story that explains why I decided to start a video business this summer, despite having little to no experience making videos for businesses. Videography and filmmaking have been my passion since I was a kid and I've often wondered how I can make money with videography and ...

As Indie filmmakers, we have all been fascinated with the cinematic look and how to achieve the cinematic look. But what is the secret that differentiates Hollywood films from student short films? What I Learned Making a Suicide Music Video
Просмотров 456Год назад
As part of a university project, I had to write a song and about an important issue in the world and turn it into a music video. As you would expect, this music video got chaotic. I chose the topic of suicide, so I had to make a music video about suicide. I believe suicide is a very important topic that we should continue to raise awareness about, which is why I chose it as the topic. Oh yeah, ...
very nice film, but to be honest it was kinda ordinary
Lmao
Hey there I saw your video years ago and I tried to take your advice is add bingo it works but it's still very very bottle away from great movie . But if we comparing Hollywoods movies we can see many difference between them some off them are iconic any other hand there is something like trash that means that the brains and budget can decide how it's gonna be ❤
Loved how you explained filmmaking is like laungue, I'm currently trying to learn Spanish.

fellow filmmaker here, this is one of the best story telling I’ve ever seen, combining every editing technique (even the whiplash pacing) to showcase yourself authentically, beautiful work man, keep. Going.

I got randomly recommended this. You are doing great man! Keep going!
Thank you man!
Thank you for the advice, I'll always continue to pursue a creative path no matter what. Wish you luck on your creative persuit as well!
Rise and Shine New Channel thereby declaring you be the one to be blessed by fortuna.

Thank you! I'll keep doing my best
"Cinematic" is most overused word on YT. Most youtubres are trying to tell us that "Cinematic" look is just colorgrading wich is BS.
Did you ever put ML on your T3i and if so did that change anything for you creatively or business wise? I eventually went from a T3 to a C100. I gave my t3 to my niece as a beginner photographer, but went back and got a t3i with ML for a back up or 2nd camera or run and gun, saving my c100 for larger projects. I'm a screenwriter/producer, so although I have all the basic gear I need, I don't get gear happy, focusing more on story. As long I can stretch my videos to be 2k. I'm good for now.
thank you, actually its very inpiring
you yap too much
Yooo! You did a great job making those shots look interesting!! And a super insightful video overall, thank you for this!
Keep working bro. Keep positive.
Yeah "interesting" is such an ambiguous word, "contrast", separation", "depth" are clearer
Nice work appreciate that❤
Why did you milk and entire two minutes.
8:40 Which country do you live in? It looks so much like where I live in Brazil.
Dylan Clark does this really well, especially in their short film storytime
7:45 Yes, I hate the high shutter speed gimmick. Action movies use it too much. They ruin the action scenes. Consistency also creates plausibility and immersion. Going from smooth motion to high shutter speed takes you out of it.
its actually a great video. thanks a lot. I shared to my friends
Bro wtf is up with all the talking . You know how much time it takes to film and create why create more obstacles 😂. Preciate the tips tho
Thank you for the link
amazing video
It's all also relative. Perhaps the girl shot of the housekeeper on the phone was meant to be that way because the director wanted to feel like she is nothing. So that's why she almost disappears into the background. Just a thought.
Great video
The key to good filmmaking, is having every part of the film be intentional. Every sequence, every scene, lighting, set design. Low budgets cant always afford to accurately express their vision, so the look of the film can come off as low effort.
honestly another point just to add is that for me i found my older pictures to have more seperation than my later ones since i just took photos and always stuck to a singular light source/ lowering exposure, almost subconsciously looking for separation. which can technically make things look bad but for those older photos its actually what made them look good (for what they were)
also the point you have with movement and nd filters is massive, that is what i really think differentiates a pro looking video from a regular iphone video
Yo this is correct on 1000%. I think every filmmaker should invest their time in understanding of interior design. It’s not that expensive to make every room looks good with some cheap tricks like lamps/sheers/plants etc. what is in front of a camera is so god damn important. And of course understand the lightning is crucial. It’s more about being a wizard and illusionist, not a guy who know how to move a camera and use rule of thirds lol
Try Dehancer for Premier or DaVinci.
IMO it's Lighting, Shot Symmetry, Composition, and Location. (Also get a gimbal for smoother movement)
