I can’t even imagine how they’d sound if they were 2 feet closer to the back wall! Unlike other traditional speakers, the 901s have a tiny acoustic box considering their power. They actually use the room as part of the acoustic setup. That’s what makes them special-they’re simple in design but backed by tons of MIT engineering and real-time research by Amar Bose Ph.D.

How does the A-S3200 match the NS1000M? Great? I think about getting an A-S3200...

Just took mine out of the box after many years. Turns on but same problem with the display that started acting up many years ago. missing lines sometimes and no display at all some times then it comes on. Bought it new on a US Air Force base in the UK back when it fist came out in 1998 I think. paid $2595

Very nice, but I think for its price point there are a lot of superior amps in that price range (prima luna, luxman, hifi rose, and a plethora of tube amps that sound far more detailed.

I've been listening to this video for several times in a row and I can honestly say that I really like the timbre of this Yamaha and the bass is just like from a real drum. What's more, the game is very fast and not slow. I would never have expected Yamaha to be able to perform like this. I don't know if you're using a good DAC or if this amplifier is just that good. These small loudspeakers are probably playing, and I wonder if Yamaha would be able to handle this piece of audio with these B&W ones :) wow, bravo.

J'ai le Dsp A1000 de 20Kg qui est le petit frère du A1, architecture et électronique identique au A1, avec un central moins puissant( 25w contre 80w) et pas d'entrée numérique type spdi/f et optique. Mais pour ceux qui ne le savent pas, ces amplis sont munit d’alimentation très costauds, un énorme transfo soutenu par deux condensateurs de 22000 microfarads chacun donc 44k. Trouver des amplis avec de telles alimentations est très rare même en classe A. Ça offre notamment 100db de rendement, une écoute détaillée à bas volume, avec un haut taux d'amortissement(120), un très faible taux de distorsion(0.005%), un tauxqui témoigne de la qualité de l’alimentation(comme pour tout ampli d'ailleurs, c'est facteur qui en dit en long sur le potentiel potentiel d'un ampli qu'on ne connait pas).Bref, les Yamaha Dsp A1000 Dsp A1(pas dsp A2 qui est le faux frère du Dsp A1 qui n'est pas mieux, mais l’inverse, il fait notamment 19kg contre les 23Kg du A1) ou encore, dans la gamme premium, le fameux Dsp AZ1 mais beaucoup plus chère d'occasion. En tout cas les Dsp A1000 ou A1 sont suffisamment balaise pour encaissé des enceintes avec des hp de 30cm sans peine. Et pour les homes studios, c'est le top, surtout avec des sources parfaites, telle que synthé, carte son numérique pro à haut rendement et pour peu qu'on ait avec ça de bonnes enceintes, on jouis alors d'un son de très bonne qualité. Ps; ces amplis ne sont pas des home cinéma au sens actuel du terme, c'est à dire des amplis plus numérique qu'analogique qui généralement offrent un son froid qui exige des effets pour faire illusion en hifi sans y arriver. A la différence, ceux là date du début 90 ou fin 80, l'aire de la dite quadriphonie, ils possèdent deux circuits bien distincts, donc analogique et numérique, mais que l'on peut ou non connecté, Donc c'est des amplis Hifi, qui peuvent à ce titre fonctionné à 100% en analogique. Mais même les Dsp objectivement, sont vraiment de qualité premium, réglable via les quels on peut obtenir des reverbs fines et subtiles. Et lorsqu'on repasse du numérique à l'analogique, on pourrait sur le plan sonore, ressentir une sensation d’appauvrissement, mais même pas, et ça c'est bien parce que le son Hifi est de qualité. Quand j'ai acheté le miens d'occasion à moins de 100euros, je cherchai sans trop savoir le quel je savais juste les facteurs essentiels à connaitre pour être en mesure reconnaître sur le net un ampli sans doute bon d'un autre assurément médiocre. Je souhaitais surtout un vrai bon ampli, du genre qui développe le spectre sonore à bas volume, une faible distorsion, une alimentation solide, un bon facteur d’amortissement, , j'avais écumée les critiques désintéressées sur le net, un peu dans tous les pays et où j'ai appris qu'ils étaient très apprécier par des ingénieurs du son, qu'on les retrouvait dans beaucoup dans les sales de cinéma et ça m'a convaincu et je peux dire que j'ai taper dans mille pour moins de 100euros. Tout ça pour dire à ceux qui pas riche cherchent de bons amplis que c'est deux là sont deux valeurs sure. Hello. Is it worth buying this Yamaha a-s3200 amplifier instead of Naim Supernait 3? I have Focal Aria 948HGL speakers. Listening to your RUclips video, I must say that I like the sound and this amplifier is not only suitable for listening to classical music because it has a nice sound and is even fast. I wonder what songs with vocals, for example Whitney Houston, sound like on this one. I'm also considering the Hegel H390. Regards

I stick to my MX-1 and PC2002m, both are phenomenal with my two pairs of NS1000Ms.
