China must change, people need come back to villages to build their hometown instead of working for capitalists.
Peace and quiet living small village. Good for you. Younger generations move out to study or doing business.
You didn't fully understand the man. The place you are in is a town, and it's Chinese New Year right now, and most people have returned to the countryside. An "administrative village" is the lowest level of administration in yunnan, and most are located deep in the mountains. In addition, due to China's unique land system, many families will not demolish their old houses even if they have a new one. Some of the places you've just walked past are basically old houses, and it's hard to see people, you need to go to a new planning area.
Thanks for commenting, all valid points. However, I filmed this around November so can't put it down to CNY. I agree that most villages are more lively than these administrative villages, I have seen so myself
@@toomashanso The Lisu and Yi New Year is two or three months earlier than the Lunar New Year, I'm not sure of the exact time. And generally there will be more people in the morning for this traditional fair.
Nice video. By the way, 各名族 means all the races, not only minorities.
这哥们儿,我是真佩服,去那么偏远的地方!!!
Good video thank you for sharing...
nice video keep uploading
Are you from England?
Touching grave offering really ???
Nice little town, just a little bit under developed and deserted, but how clean everywhere is, and the locals not resentful.
All very friendly!
Where did you pick up that accent?
Definitely Taiwan. He says 结账 instead of 买单
@@maodun22 nope, he said "帅锅”, definitely no Taiwanese accent, although im doudtful hes doing 重庆四川 as well, i think he picked a lot of dialogues randomly and just try hard
@@chriscain7333uh no, at 10:00 he says “帅哥,我这边结账要多少“
Oh i see what youre saying now, true pronouncing 帅哥 as 帅锅 isnt very 台湾腔
It's called English
Great video. Nice to see some country side.
Interesting video. I have enjoyed a short course of 4 days in Swahili by the the Suggestopedia method and already might understand a whole lot of words. Greetings from Norway. :-) Hakuna Matutata 🙂
Hi Toomas, u might missed some of the wedding processes? The groom will present gifts (from wedding pastries to gold) to bride’s family, they, in turn, will return half of the gifts. Preparing the new couple room, with potty, dressed in new red color beddings with a mix of dried fruits and nuts and no one can sit or sleep in the bed until the couple returns together. Bridegroom hair combing ceremony, Groom to go pickup the bride and some funny games/tests prepared by bridesmaids for the groom & its male friends and lastly the tea serving & paying respects to the elder ceremony (above are the basic & some are with more elaborate processes)
Yes I probably missed quite a few parts! In general I didn't know exactly what was going on and just followed what was happening in front of me. Although in the case of this wedding they might have not have done everything you listed at this specific venue, as the bride and groom come from different areas of Guangdong province, meaning that they did a part of the ceremony at the groom's and a part at the bride's. Nonetheless, thanks for the elaboration!
That's not a hall for praying, that's an ancestors' hall, where Chinese "report" to their ancestors, they set off fireworks to ... alert the ancestors that someone's getting married, or died or had a baby, or a dependent became a scholar or high official
Thanks for the info!
They also pray to their ancestors, no?
Que saudade de ver teus vídeos, eu gosto demais!
11.43 was so unexpected. Cool video otherwise, always interesting to see your travel videos.
Hey Just a quick question how did you learn swahili? Did you learn it before you went to Tanzania?
My wife is Luhya and I am trying to learn so i can talk to her family next time we go instead of just smiling at them and saying habari in the most mancunian accent ever lol
Hongera kaka
