In this video we take a closer look at the grips of Steve Smith, Kusal Perera, and Virat Kohli, and explore how their grip informs their approach to scoring runs. We would always recommend exploring different approaches to sc...

But these guys do have things in common, so in this video we'll look at four technical factors that when combined make up the fundamentals of m...

@informcricket, is there a way you can review my action and help me
I believe that the holy grail of finger spin bowling is imparting top spin. And i don’t think you can impart top spin if your wrist is cocked or the fingers are too tight around the ball (i struggle with this myself). The way i like to think about this is, i like to feel that my triceps are rotating if my wrist is cocked my forearms get too tight and i can’t go up the back of the ball. Have seen a lot of tennis coaches say this about hitting with top spin too. You can’t impart top spin on the ball in tennis if your wrist is locked or your grip is too tight
Thank you sir this video was very informative and helpful please keep on making and sharing your knowledge to us.Thank you sir 🙏
Hello im trying but not able to do the rotation part not able to fully utilize my index finger
Sir please explain hip rotation deeply.
Do you know left arm armer bowling
Great tips
Telugu
Thanks a lot, just started back age 47 after 18 years out, as a left armer my natural delivery has always spun the ball into a right handed batter so I'm gonna work on this as an alternative delivery to add to my options, very well explained, thank you.
I am a right arm off spinner. But I my ball is not rotating in 45' Degree. Can you give me the answer. How can i use my wrist?
Hi first of all amazing videos. I am learning to spin but most of by deliveries stay flat and skids on. I get wickets but i want to turn the ball more. Instead almost all my deliveries become armers. I have decent accuracy but can’t spin the ball as much.
This series is the first thing that has allowed me to make sense of spin bowling (as a leftie as well), thanks for making these mate greatly appreciated
Thank you for taking the time to watch and comment Finn. Good luck with your journey of bowling spin!
Hou are you😊
Sir pls suggest any drills to correct the wrist
A lot of it is trial and error, experimenting, trying different wrists positions, getting a feeling for different angles of your wrist. Having the body awareness of knowing the angle of your wrist is on release can help you put different spin on the ball. Have fun playing around with it. Maybe try to use a two coloured ball to check the spin on the ball and which way the seam is pointing mid air.
Such useful and informative video! You corrected and answered so many mistakes and questions I had in such simple manner. Love you brother❤.
Leg spin wrist spinner
Sir i had problem when i do bowling bowl goes flighted abd slow can you tell me the reason behind it please
You know, while I am hitting the ball over the rope, my bat gets rotated in my hand every time and I couldn’t get the elevation too.? Any solutions! 🙏
Excellent video. Please upload a video on off spin variations
brilliant video, so helpful
Thank you for taking the time to watch and comment!
I am from India and I love your channel❤️
Thank you for your support @padmakoiri9737!
Hi - do you have a video to explain where to land the ball - at what length?
Thanks for the comment @melvinpaul85, and thank you for watching the video! I’m working on a video about line and length, but generally you want to bounce the ball 4 metres away from the stumps, this is deemed a good length where the batter can’t smother the spin on the front foot from the crease, and the ball can threaten the stumps if the batter goes on the back foot. Hope this helps
Fantastic video I rarely leave any comments because I’m lazy but the video you have put your part one and part two were really really helpful for me despite I’ve been playing cricket for 40 years
Hi @sandeepkhare4810, thank you for taking the time to watch my videos, and leave a comment! I’m so glad they are helpful, and amazing that you’ve played cricket for 40 years!
can you make variation On Left arm spinner
It is in the plans - thanks for the suggestion!
Sir my every ball goes undercutt
This usually means our shoulders are rotating horizontally rather than vertically - try to get a higher release point, and not to cock your wrist back - like how it is explained in the video. Good luck
Bro looks like maxwell
Haha I’ve had that before! Or Tommy Fleetwood, the golfer.
Excellent video.
Thank you for taking the time to watch and to comment
Really good video thank you. Left handed bowler here but 30 years since I played! The wife wasn’t too happy when I started practising in the kitchen and took out her precious bone china 🙃🫣
Thank you taking the time to watch, and for leaving a comment! They say you’re not a proper spinner till you’ve broken some china inside!
Sir plz tell left arm spin grip
The grip is explained in the video - but you need to spin the ball off your index finger, so play around with holding the ball, and see how wide you can get your index finger and middle finger on the seam of the ball.

Hi good morning my son is a left hand spinner
Great to hear! Hope he enjoyed the videos
Really informative video. Thank you✨🥰
Thank you for taking the time to watch the video and to comment. I’m glad you enjoyed it
How to identity the ball which is coming in (arm ball) and which goes away or even straight one. What are the clues or hints. When left arm baller bowl to right handed I’m struggling to get those. 😢
When we on front foot landing.. How we release the balls back hips behind the front leg or both facing towards batter?
When your front foot lands we want our hips to be pointing 45 degrees from the batter. So the hips are not pointing down the wicket (that’s on release), or 90 degrees from the batter (ie belly button pointing towards extra cover/mid wicket). Hope this helps
Thank you for explaining it clearly. I didnt know why my balls weren't spinning. Now i know that i have a problem in my action that i need to change. Thank you so much for this informative video ! You have helped many cricketers like me on how to bowl offspin properly
Thank you for taking the time to watch and comment, we are so glad it helped!
@@InFormCricketcan we have offspinner variation video?
@@legend76844 it’s on the list to create, thanks!
Thank u sir good for us I will try to bowl like this
Just chanced upon this gem. Having got back into cricket after a decade, all my off spinners come out as undercutters "the flying saucer". When you said about seamer wrist cocking position it all made sense. Hopefully I can relearn off spin. Im getting good rpm, its just the seam angle is all wrong.
So glad it’s helped. Thank you for watching and commenting. Try to watch part 2 as well
Sir do you take personal training??
Sir iam fan of your information .so much informatics about off spin bowling it is easy to understand and help to understand others. Iam so much blessed having this video as a professional coach .thank you make leg spin video and many more like this.
Thank you taking the time to watch and comment on the video. Will add leg spin to list
When should u release the ball?
Try to release the ball at the highest point of your action above your head
