This is just to help a little with more information: In Bolivia not only Afro Bolivian suffered discrimination from the reach white elite but, maybe even more the native Bolivians like Aymaras, Quechuas and Chiquitanos( all the indigenous people from Bolivia) until now that an indigenous president was elected and he changed the Bolivian Constitution and now discrimination is not allowed and this government is struggling and fighting hard against it because, 400 years of discrimination brought by Spaniards and other European that treated all natives and Afros really bad is not easy, but this government is working hard . One thing I know per sure that Bolivians in general do not discriminate afro Bolivians like in other countries but, the discrimination comes from the white elite the same ones that stole the Bolivian countryminerals, oil gold etc for 4 centuries. Afro Bolivian music is pretty and there is a lot beautiful music in Bolivia as well as dances etc.

La feria es muy conocida en la parte andina, pero esta feria pertence a la comunidad de San Pedro de Condo, porque la mayoria de la plantas medicinales son traidos principalmente de ahi, y la mayoria de las personas entrevistadas son Condo, entoces sin rodeos esta feria le pertenece a la Comunidad San Pedro de Condo.

No se como está la situación ahora, pero cuando lo filmé este trabajo, los precios de metales eran altos, y eso ha atraido mas gente a este tipo de minería a pequeña escala.

El trabajador es digno de su salario.. y estos valientes mineros me recuerdan a mi padre cuando fue minero... solamente pido que DIOS cuide de estos hombres valientes..que buscan el pan de cada dia

Hey Chuck! Congratulations! i saw your documentary before traveling to the municipality of Palos Blancos which borders Alto Beni and where there are also Moseten communities. It's very powerful and sad and should be shown around the world! my favorite part was when the old women said (roughly translated) that despite the destruction of the communal land, there are no improvements being made to their own community.
