Elkhart and Western RR returns from Mishawaka, IN

Another chase I plan to reembark on this coming week is the former Pioneer (now Patriot Rail) Elkhart and Western operation between Elkhart and Mishawaka, IN. Back in November of 2020, I did this for the first time, but for some reason I decided to forget my tripod back at home, so I only got a few clips of the train here and there on its return trip back to Elkhart. Engineer Jeff Douglas provides a good show taking the short train back to home base for NS to sort out cars the following day.
As of 2022, the Elkhart and Western has been included in the acquisition of Patriot Rail. GP9 911 has been sidelined, and in September of 2024, another GP9 in Patriot Rail blue has sh...

The main reasons why I like them is because a lot of Shortlines all have tourist attractions from all across the country and they use one of the Shortlines for the excursions for the Polar Express 1225 from the Pere Marquette Railway which is one of the best railways in the Midwest. Restore Pere Marquette 1223 and 1237.

Unfortunatly Indiana Northeastern gave up on the extremely rare frog headlight GP10 1073 after a mechanical failure sidelining the engine for spare parts. It's likely it will be scrapped. But if the INER can bring a GP9 back from the dead, they can do it to the GP10.
