Job Hunting in USA 2024
In today’s tech job market, landing an entry-level or new grad position feels like an endless maze. Applications vanish into ATS black holes, referrals are the only reliable way in, and recruiters or hiring managers rarely respond to LinkedIn messages or cold emails, no matter how many you send. At career fairs and conferences, attempts to network are often met with a polite “just apply online,” sending you back to square one. Add to that the grueling multi-round interview processes, and it’s no wonder students and recent grads are turning to unconventional methods-like standing outside offices with resumes in hand-just to ask if anyone’s hiring.

Problem is, do you need h1b sponsorship.
Go to India and apply there and come back later
Best suggestion: focus on building your own startup
It’s cause everything is outsourced to china/india/phillipines instead of giving it to their own people. Read “The lost economy” by Paul Craig
Each and every friend of mine got a job stop bullshitting ya there may be some problems but being unemployed in 🇺🇸 after a masters is kind of lame 😂
Don't Loose the Hopes. Many will have this kind of struggle in their initial stage of career. Its just a matter of time. Your effort would never go wasted.! Just be positive. continue searching the Job, your good time is a mile away!!!
bro us bro us
Start a business.
Securing a job is the single most risk preventing people from pursuing higher education abroad, money is not a problem since banks take care of that..The world doesn’t owe us anything
Looks really scary! I hope you find a job soon
I have consent letter of 2 Big IT Companies, and they just left me out in empty in darkness, Beacuse of them I didnt' join 1 small it copany which was givinh me joining. No more TO Say.😑
Yaar popjet
Meanwhile, another 25 millions IT students from India are waiting for a visa to the USA....
The west is screwed lol
Very true 😢😢. Facing same situation
No sympathy man. You went there for a better life, there are risks of doing that. Everyone is struggling, atleast you are getting a chance to try. Most Indians didnt even get a chance and are stuck in India.
Dont worry. All the best wishes to you
the harsh reality exposed by this gentleman
If there are NO jobs, do you expect a corporate employee to create one? You came for good US Education, but expect US to provide jobs as well. Suggestion: Return to India work for a few years; try US jobs later; your US education and US job market is NOT going away.
Sarrr if India progressing so much why every Indian wanted to get out from India and never look back 😂
Usa is bad saar anti muslim saar but i will waiting for usa visa saar i am
Canada is e en more worse trust me it’s not the same job market in the west as u think was before
It shouldn't be this hard to find a job.
This is heartbreaking
Bro nimge kelsa sikta?
Why nobody mentions in his videos law 174....
@ 2.53....Bindass Why The Fuck bol dene ka tha.....
Personal recommendation unfortunately is the best way to go and many analyst jobs are now being replaced by AI tools at many companies…it’s really tough right now.
Maybe built a website, where you can help people with their coding issues
Maybe checking the attitude too. Nobody owes you shii! You have to try and figure out how to crack it. I have be driven by an American lady (white lady in her 50's) with many years of top management experience + MBA...she has been searching "for a very long time". An architect (white adult male) drove me once and guess what, an American who kindda regrets getting a degree in his field! It is tough out there. Keep the vibe positive bro... you've got this!
This just gave a reality check to some fresh grads out there!
This video feels like India is much better.
Stop coming to the US for Computer Science. You'll be disappointed.
Shared your response
Those are ghost jobs
You really think just because you have a US degree you must be greeted on a red carpet. I am amazed at your sense of entitlement which comes through in your long speech where you are repeating the same thing over and over again. The first thing is without experience in the field of specialization no one will even look at you resume. News flash CEO ‘s and VP’s don’t hire people , HR does and without visa or green card hiring now is next to impossible.
Masters khatm hogayi kya?
Laughing at people who think in India situation is better. I am an IIT graduate and failing to get any response back from companies while trying off campus. Even with good ATS score. I am also losing hope so really relatable video. Hope this struggle ends soon.
Just a tip. If any of you graduated recently, apply for new grad roles. You have better chance of getting new grad. At least that was the case for me.
No one "ows" you a job brother! If you can prove that you can deliver "outcomes" - the companies will run after you (and not the other way around).
Gimmick! Even if you hand over your resume to people walking out of those offices, they would ask you to apply on the portal. Jobs are based on business needs and if you had a basic understanding of job market, you would not have spent all the money to do a useless masters in the USA. This is partly because of the fault of Indian parents and students who are obsessed with foreign degrees. Think creatively - your US degree is still valuable in the Indian marriage market. Oh btw, people who had been to coding boot camp are not less smarter than those with 2 engineering degrees. We all know what Indian students do in their 4 years of engineering degrees - do fuckall!
Bhai sirf ladkiyon ka hoga
Dont Struggle there in USA,come back to ❤India😀
Job market is crazy, these companies are down levelling and taking senior engineers with 7+ years experience as software engineers as there were too many layoff
You spoke my heart out
R u From Maharashtra?
I can really understand since I myself going through the same situation. I always wanted to work in automotive industry and now one after another every company is either shutting down operations or firing and just want focus on manufacturing.
Very difficult to see you cuz painful
bro comeback india that would be better
🍿😁
Sorry to hear your situation Mr. Desai. This is the sad reality of the USA dream. Nothing is guaranteed and people holding green cards with experience have been impacted in the current bust cycle. Despite the harsh realities I dont know why students come to study in US chasing the American dream. Europe in my opinion is much more friendlier for technically qualified people and you should pursue your chances there. The work life balance is good and Europe is much better for techies today for landing a job and a pathway to PR. Try Germany, Belgium, Netherlands, Sweden, and even Switzerland. If they dont work for you some of the lower paying European countries as Portugal, Spain, Italy, Poland is an option. Good Luck.
