At 6000rpm mine seems to splutter and spit and a huge dip in power. Still have the exhaust valve system in place like you do so I am wondering if mine is faulty. Did you have similar issues? Saw your final vid and I can hear you barely go over 6k
Honestly I'm not sure... I ripped the entire gauge cluster off the bike because I didn't like the look and don't really need a speedometer or to know what my RPMs are. As for what RPMs I'm hitting, I do know from riding the bike that I lost some top end speed with the chain and sprocket changes that I made to give it more torque off the line. I didn't really build this bike for speed so that wasn't a concern of mine when I made the upgrade. But outside of that no real issues with the exhaust setup.

Great video, thanks for that. I have a 954 and would love to remove the giant bazooka of a muffler for something like that. But it's not only the size and how low profile out of sight. It sounds amazing! At least in the videos. Not to mention it must be shaving off a bunch of pounds. Unfortunately, from reading the previous comments, the site where you got that is no longer online. If you ever get rid of the bike and want to sell that please ping me. Keep up on the videos. James

Not true at all lmao jeez all you guys that think you know everything. For one that pipe is still baffled and who knows how far in it goes or if there's anything in the inlet and my bike is straight piped and has been for 6 years I've put on 42k miles and never had an issue I got it Dyno tubed last summer because I wanted more power and there was absolutely nothing wrong with my valves when the checked all the tolerances and everything and the fuel map was just fine bikes come lean from factory so all this is doing is making it dump more fuel anyways
The servo valve that comes stock keeps the back pressure in check bud

@John Brown Thanks for the great vid. I'm considering making something similar for my 954, as I have access to a TIG welder. May I ask if you noticed much about the internal construction? The product appears to have a perforated inner tube with glassfibre packing in between the outer tube and the inner perforated tube. Did you look into the 4 holes at the inlet and see if there was glassfibre packing in the main (larger tube) section? Do you have any photos in through the 4 holes at the inlet? Sorry for all the questions, thank you for your time,

Don't mind if I say it but she got a slight knock coming from the engine. Check your cct for chain slap. Also check your exhaust clamps are tight or not.

JTB no longer have this item. I did however find one on eBay but that listing has also ended. I'm guessing they are now discontinued. Which is a shame as I had one saved in my eBay basket just waiting for the pennies to purchase it. Now I have to keep looking.

what kind of headlight did you order and where did you order it from? I as well am turning my 954 into a street fighter and just need the headlight at this point to replace the stock fairing and light!
Got the headlight from this site in UK. www.jesterstrickbits.co.uk/ Be sure to pre-measure the bracket size. I used the owners manual and got it wrong for the fork size. Had to pay for return shipping plus time to get them back. :-(
