Thanks, sometimes I think giving yourself limitations can help you be more creative for sure

I mean it all comes down to practice....I have used ableton for so long that shortcuts are often second nature and I forget that I'm even using them 🤣. Once you get a workflow down and keep repeating it, it all becomes quicker and quicker

Personally I just love the workflow in Ableton. The vst and FX plugins are kind of like a modular system almost that you can chain together, takes a bit of work rather then just straight presets like in some other daws (I'm thinking FL which has very nice presets with effects included) but once you get used to it, it's really awesome

The patterns are automatically "unique" in Ableton, you don't have to make them unique in the same way you do in FL .... So you can simply copy the midi clip over and then go in to the second one and switch it up

Hey, I dont actually have a video on mixing beats yet, might need to make one soon as I get asked this a lot. In general after going through the "creative" stage, I personally set my levels so the loudest peak hits at -6 on my mix buss when everything is playing (rather then when solo'd), which is usually my kick. Then from there I will do my mix buss proccessing

It's a cool synth, just not really suited to what I make without a lot of editing. There's not so many of us Ableton guys, I think it's because there's a bigger audience for FL, which is partly because there's more FL videos to, kinda catch 22. I love live though and won't be switching
