How To Program Relief Cuts in Fusion 360 for Plasma CNC
Просмотров 11 тыс.3 года назад
Quick video showing how to program relief cuts or straight line cuts in fusion 360 for plasma CNC table users. I use this in order to add relief cuts to my pieces so that I can bend parts by hand and get a precise bend. This is very useful when you don't have access to a metal brake and can also prove to be more precise. I have only used this on 1/8 inch material and thinner. Anything thicker t...
Hot Rod Stroller Build Part 3 Couper's Coupe | Bare Metal Fabrication
Просмотров 3,2 тыс.3 года назад
In part 3 of the Couper's Coupe build I completed the front cantilever air suspension, built a 1:4 scale small block Chevy engine using my new Langmuir Systems Crossfire Pro plasma table, made some lake style headers for the engine and some velocity stacks, fiber glassed a floor and firewall into the body, and fabricated a mount for the compressor that will run the air ride system. Monster Golf Cart Build Part 14 Modifying The Hydraulic Steering | Bare Metal Fabrication
Просмотров 2,5 тыс.3 года назад
In Part 14 of this monster golf cart build I begin the redesign of the hydraulic steering system. I ditch the double ended hydraulic ram for a more robust single ended ram in hopes that it will reduce the number of rotations of the steering wheel from lock to lock. I had to build a new mount for the steering ram which is a lot stronger than the original design. 5/8 Cone Spacers: amzn.to/3i0mWgg...
Hot Rod Stroller Build Part 2 Couper's Coupe | Bare Metal Fabrication
Просмотров 3,9 тыс.4 года назад
In part 2 of the Couper's Coupe build I got the rear suspension built and tested the air bag. It was really violent so we will have to put an air flow control valve on the air ride system in order to control how quickly the air goes into the air bags. It was so violent that it twisted the suspension since it was only tack welded together. Please consider subscribing by clicking here: ruclips.ne...
Monster Golf Cart Build Part 13 Flipping The Front Differential | Bare Metal Fabrication
Просмотров 2,7 тыс.4 года назад
In Part 13 of this monster golf cart build I flip the front differential upside down in order to make the front wheels spin the correct direction once I get a driveshaft installed. The output shaft from the engine spins in the oposite direction required to make the Suzuki Samurai axles move forwards. So to correct this, I have to flip the differential upside down, reversing the direction that i...
Hot Rod Stroller Build Couper's Coupe | Bare Metal Fabrication
Просмотров 9 тыс.4 года назад
Couper's Coupe is a Hot Rod stroller that I'm building for my son Couper. The body is a 1/4 scale replica of a 1932 Ford 3 window Coupe. I am stripping it down and building a custom frame and suspension. The plan is to make it low like a rat rod. It will be on air ride using a couple tiny air bags that I found online that I believe are normally used under a big rig seat. In this video I build t...
First Test Drive 700cc 4x4 Monster Golf Cart | Bare Metal Fabrication
Просмотров 13 тыс.4 года назад
I finally got to test drive the 700cc 4x4 golf cart on air ride in part 12 of the Monster Golf Cart build! This thing is fast! I was having too much fun and never thought to look at the speedometer. Whoops. The cart ended up overheating at one point and the overflow tank spewed water out. We also heard some gunshots. Overall it was a lot of fun but we didn't get to go very far. Monster Golf Cart Build Part 11 New Rear Shock Towers and Driveshafts | Bare Metal Fabrication
Просмотров 2,3 тыс.4 года назад
In Part 11 of this monster golf cart build I decided to re-engineer the rear shock mounts. The original design I came up with was never finished and the more I looked at it the more I hated it and didn't even want to try to finish them. So I decided to cut them off and start over. I used my JD2 model 32 tubing bender to bend up some new upper shock towers and then re-shaped the adjustable shock...

    • @BareMetalFabrication
      @BareMetalFabrication 6 месяцев назад

      The hard part is to not harden the metal. That will happen no matter what. But to pierce holes like this I create a very short line or a very small circle and cut on the line.

    Like your video , thought it sounded like a dog walking in the background because I have two on a wood floor that sound the same. I don’t know whether you knew it but Lang Mark had somebody come up with a piercing only placement I haven’t tried it yet. One thing that would help me out is a larger cursor or I have seen one guy used a red ring around the cursor it’s easier to follow sometimes I can’t see.

  • @treadlightlyservicesllc.1930

    Bravo, your fabrication skills are top-notch, I just lifted a golf cart and it's a E-Z-Go 875xl, it is a tank that you sit over the front axle so with lifted tires that makes it a son of a bean to steer I was already thinking about a hydraulic boat steering and Googled it and this is the first one that came up. again I'm going to say it Bravo on your fabrication skills, looks like I'm headed down this path also.

    Thank you very much for this. I was struggling how to make a straight line inside of some stock. I do have one question though . Are you able to extrude something like that on the design tab and have it show the relief cuts? When I extrude a body with straight lines inside of it, the straight lines are not "holes" in the stock. I'd like to be able to see what it will look like before cutting if possible. Thank you!

      FWIW - Using splines usually seems to create a bazillion lines of code and huge .nc files. I avoid them whenever possible. The three point arc works really well instead.

  • @whitneydesignlabs8738
    @whitneydesignlabs8738 Год назад

    Thanks for sharing! At about the 43:00 mark, instead of guessing, you can use the Calibrate tool for getting the canvas really close to exact. Also, using points that are as far as possible apart, will increase accuracy. For example using the two holes that are 5.25" apart, instead of the holes that are 3" apart. Very powerful once you leverage this. I have taken photos of complicated parts including a measuring tape for calibrating. Makes modeling pretty straight forward to get all the curves and basic geometry. At 54:00 good tip for creating pierce points for post production machine work.

    • @p.t.anderson1593
