In my opinion, when you really reach truth master 1200-1400mr you don’t have problem with combo , you lighter have some setups , but the thing you lacking is defence mostly like Honda alwsys try to steal your turn , you can’t react to DI , your anti air is not on point, and when you Get the chance you choose the wrong combo and can’t close out the game and then you lost. So my advise is not overly practise your combo insted train your reaction on several situation then going to rank would be much better. This game is wild , once you Are in 50/50 regardless your mr , you gonna guess. So try to make them guess. Play more like scrub then being to honest in this game.

These are really good tips. Especially 1 and 4. I remember Idom talking about how important it is to have a strategy going into a game, even if its as simple as just fireball and if they jump Anti air. I mean, Guile is one of the best characters in the game with just that.

I recently got masters with JP and then did the masters drop, but climbed back up to 1400 MR. I think the hard part of first to 2 is figuring out someone’s gameplan for round 1, so I preferred to dictate the pace with a strategy of my own. But gathering data and layering offense makes it much easier to at least 2-1 opponents!

I’m low MR, I have climbed a bit recently. I feel like I noticed the players around 1300mr do a lot of wake up hold parry.

Another tip is to have a plat player mr shame u so that you motivate yourself to reach a higher mr and tell them why there in master and they,ain't :) (defo not talking bout me)

You chose the most technical character that isn't beginner friendly too. But that the thing, always play what interest you and who you find fun as it will help to drive you to improve. If you play a character that is "beginner friendly" but boring to you it makes grinding tough and often people drop off. Great job

I think these drills are good to improve reactions overall, but as you can see, even in training its very hard, almost impossible to be consistent checking everything. I think its better to focus on one or 2 things at a time, and understanding when and where to focus mental stack is probably more important. Still, never hurts to form good habits. Ive seen Daigo spend 2 hours on stream just perfect parrying Bison StHP - thats the kinda level of training I need to aspire to lol.

this was awesome to watch. and definitely gave me hope and reminded me there is light at the end of the tunnel! The ranked grind can be rough im in the middle of platinum elo hell after playing for around four months and master is my main goal. I can somewhat keep up with the diamond and master players i fight in casual que and vs my friends who are better than me but its just a lotta little things that aren't there yet yknow. ranking up just takes so much time lol and I usually pussy out and play with friends or casual que so then when i do play ranked i have like a 80% win rate 😭😭😭. I've started watching your videos the past few weeks and they've definitely been helpful and I hope you continue to make awesome content on this channel!
