Love your ideas. Thanks.
Does anyone know if rubbing alcohol has any effect with Brusho?
Brilliant fun 👍🏼🤩⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️! Such a great technique, thank you for the demo 😃.
Just got some Brusho so I’m definitely gonna take your instructions and try these techniques. Thank you:) 👍👍
I'm 6yrs later just catching up. Am fairly new to Brushos and still experimenting. I haven't yet tried glossy paper - would this work on both photo paper and Yupo? You final cards are lovely and yes, my favourite is turquoise too. Best wishes from Chester, UK.
Wonderful! The starch was such a new idea to me. Thanks for sharing. I could listen to your accent all day. Waynesboro, VA
hi kylie I miss you *im her cousin
Thank you Kylie..enjoying your youtube tutorials. Looking forward to getting back into my card making. Nell Reid (pauline)
HI Kylie
Beautiful thanks for sharing, never heard of starch techniques
Love this card. Can’t wait to give this technique a try. Thank you for sharing
Fabulous! What does the starch do?
Why is the starch better than just water? Great video! Thanks
Have you tried dropping on a sprinkle of perfect pearls for some metalics while the card is still wet? turned out ok on mine :)
When I have used lots of water, I put a second piece of card on top n then peel them apart. then you get two papers from one :)
Beautiful!
Love this! Always looking for more ways to use supplies. Thanks for sharing!
the cling wrap works with any kind of paint, watercolor, acrylic and ink.
What a lovely card! Love your style.
Thanks for the video. 😘
Brilliant Kylie I have just ordered some, looking forward to receiving them. Awesome to hear an Aussie doing a tutorial make it seem like home well done.

Hi Kylie, my attempts never turn out as gorgeous as yours, you have a special touch. Well I'll try again using what youve shown thanks
Glad you picked up the wrong circle stamp Kylie. Love the result and those gorgeous colours.
Starch looks like it makes color cloudy
It may look it in the video - I hadn't noticed! The finished product certainly isn't cloudy :)
Very neat sunset scene! Looks so easy...
Great card. Well explained and easy to understand, Congratulations.
Kylie, I just found your channel and I absolutely LOVE your videos. Thank you for sharing your talent and ideas!!
thank you Jean!
Nice demo, too bad you wasted paint by wiping up, could have run another piece of paper through those puddles, waste not, want not!!
I did mention that in my video. I just wasn't prepared at the time :)
Awesome
Where do you buy them?
Hi Julie, I have them in stock at Happy Little Stampers - shop.happylittlestampers.com
Awesome
I wonder if this technique could be used on embossing folders?
yes, it can! I have done a video tutorial using Brushos and embossing folders (plus other inks). ruclips.net/video/ar0JN3IJ85Y/видео.html
Thanks for this tutorial. I bought these a couple of weeks ago, and so far, of the dozen or so backgrounds I've made, there's only one I'd use. I can't believe how much water it takes to dissolve the colour crystals ... I think I'll try the starch one! Thanks again!
Hi Virginia, perhaps you are sprinkling too much powder? Try a little less and see how you go. It shouldn't take too much water to get them to dissolve. If you need any help with your backgrounds, I'd be happy to take a look at the ones you have made - kyliepurtell@gmail.com :)
Thanks so much Kylie. They look better now I've stamped on them, but I really appreciate your help. I will try less powder on the next lot.
I hope you have had success with your Brusho backgrounds. I can't wait to hear how you went :)
Love Brushos! No art is the same so it's the random-ness I like. I wonder if instead of using starch, you could use shaving foam? But great video, and I must try the cling film technique.
I will have to try that!
great tutorial = lovely cards
Loved this Kylie, looking for ideas for using Stencils which I hate! But this looks fun, will try it out an then think I will use to die cut x
I thought you weren't supposed to remove Brusho's lids anyway. (I just got a 24 pack for Christmas & used my Tim Holtz pokey tool to punch a hole in the middle of the lids-- they sprinkled just fine..)
ibkristykat It is just a tip for newbies to using Brushos. I mention not removing the lids just in case someone was wondering if they should or not. I also use a craft tool to poke a hole in the top.
Kylie Purtell i am a newbie lol
The point was that the pots are concentrated powder that make up many litres of paints - usually for schools etc. For this technique, removing the lid isn't required. The lids ARE meant to be removed - they are designed for that :)
Beautiful cards! I have never used glossy card stock, but I do have glossy photo paper - the sort to print off photos - is that the same thing?
Poppy Fields it isn't EXACTLY the same but I have used photo paper as well. Give it a go!
Thanks for replying. I will!
very cool :)
Thanks, Kylie!
This is such a neat way to add splotches, well done you...I always have trouble making uncontrived splots on cards...I think watching this video may have solved my issue! tfs Di xx
Thanks Dianne. It really is a great way to add to add a bit of fun!
I was trawling through your channel and found this, your very first video...it made me remember that I had recently, finally, managed to find this lovely stamp set (on ebay, at vast expense!) and that I haven't use it yet...such a lovely card and I was thinking as I watched that it would be perfect for conveying sympathy and that's what you made it...the technique for colour blocking also is so good...we often get carried off with new techniques, I am so glad you have reminded me of all these things, Di xx
It's a shame I don't do this technique very often. There are so many around that I tend to forget! I'm glad you enjoyed my tutorial and were able to find the stamp set!
I made a card yesterday, casing yours very closely, to send to my SIL as a memento card, (it was the 3rd anniversary of my brothers death)...the card turned out very well. Now I use more watercolouring techniques in my projects, it's good to broaden the repertoire...thanks again, Di
Your card is lovely, thank you for adding to my knowledge regarding Brushos, (and for including some of the technical terms I need to know ;)..I am finding them so versatile now, after all your lovely videos...Di
those technical terms are really most important, lol!!
:)
Gosh, maybe its time for me to get in on all the fun of using brusho...tfs :) Zelda
you really should, Zelda. They are SO much fun!
I wish I had been able to join you at the Retreat! Sounds like you girls had a blast! Have you tried black Brushos? It has a million colors in it, and it looks amazing! Thanks so much for sharing another great video tutorial with us, Kylie! Your card is beautiful!
Thanks Barb. Hopefully we will meet at one in the future :) I have black Brusho but don't really use it. I'm not sure why because it really is beautiful!
I love playing with Brushos...The colors are so vibrant! Thanks so much for sharing this technique with us...so FUN!
I love how vibrant the colours can be too. Just the layering of the colours gives it a whole new look!
Fun, quick and easy...LOVE how your cards turned out, Kylie! Especially the neon tree...Thanks so much for another great tutorial! ♥♥♥
These cards are super easy, Barb. I love that about them ;)
Gorgeous cards, Kylie! I love the effect of all the sparkle on Christmas cards...so pretty! Thanks so much for the video tutorial!
Thanks Barb. I love the sparkle too! Very 'christmasy'
So effective... tfs :) Zelda
Thank you Zelda!
I have only recently purchased a few Brusho's and in the fun of playing with them have come across your channel...thanks so much for sharing all your technique processes with these little pots of colour...You have given me lots of inspiration, I hadn't yet thought of trying glossy paper!...Di xx
Using glossy paper truly is fun, Dianne. Give it a go!
I did...it was...;)
