I m originally from india but now settled in England. In 2018 I bought a 3 BHK house for 237k GBP in a London commuter town and can reach London within 35 mins via direct train. All my colleagues and friends got homes for a. minimum of 500k plus above which will take their mortgage past their retirement age . I was always thinking of a balance between owning a home and pursuing other interests like travel. In May I lost my job but I am not too concerned as my mortgage is low and also built a good rainy day fund. I have also enjoyed going to different places in Europe like Portugal, Spain, Malta Italy, Canary Islands etc. I just own a Honda Jazz 2016 car which is fully paid off. At the end of the day it is about planning and not succumb to 'peer' pressure.. 'He has got a single family home and a Tesla, why don't I deserve?'. If you can afford 100 GBP today spend 30 GBP!

You think renting is better?! 180 applications for one home in 2 weeks. X1 application can take 3 hours to complete, one application required 9 references. One of my previous rental agencies in London said they were unhappy with the amount of references requested. You live somewhere terrified about not being renewed but also terrified that your rent will increase- because it will. It’s not easy to rent at all. It’s a nightmare.

Depends where you’re based but upstate studios is soooo good for pilates!! You can get unlimited mat classes for $39 a week (their hot pilates is literally incredible) or the mat, boxing and reformer for $55 per week. I do go like 5-6 times a week though so it’s a lot cheaper for me compared to single classes or packs, but they also do $59 for 30 days unlimited classes (everything) for their intro offer
