I love you singing this, and singing along with you until 2:55 as of today I can't hit those notes. This song has become one of my favorite vocal challenges I'm almost obsessed with getting it right. Your version to me is the right perspective for the lyrics and song, Jimmy did great, but you've nailed it. I wish I'd found this version sooner, but hey.

I just came across this song on Spotify, and I've been playing it on repeat since. The vocals are incredible, I love the build-up there is going on, how powerful the vocals become at the end. I'm currently listening to the original version by James Bay, that I had never heard, I can't say that it's not good, but honestly, your arrangement gives a complete other vibe, and I am OBSESSED!

There are so many details done so well here, like the inflections in your voice that sound so desperate, the subtle harmonies, and the delay going on in the mix which emphasizes certain consonants giving this haunting effect You can hear in your voice that the emotion is building up but it's saved for the climax at 3:09. To me this is lashing out at someone you love. You've been trying to hold it in for their sake, but at a certain point you just can't and they're the undeserving victim. You regret it right away and try to justify everything, but in the end you just feel guilty and lost and like you don't deserve to be around them anymore because you know you will hurt them again I really hope this cover gets more attention, it's so potent and powerful. Easy sub, hope to hear more music from ya ;)

This broods and builds and has all the drama and atmosphere you could ever ask for. It needs to be massive, everyone needs to hear it. I didn't think that utterly stunning acoustic version could be bettered, i still go back to it regularly, because it blows me away every, single, bloody time and it will live with me for ever. This is equally other-worldly, what a song, what a voice.

I'm not sayin this song changed my life but it certainly left a huge impression. It had that spine-chilling effect on me from the start. This raw energy, a cry for help and also a very strong act of bravery - this song has stayed with me ever since. Not many songs can do that. Most of the time I only hear the melody. But when it's huge, the words get to me. And here they did for sure. And hearing you perform it live at the lighthouse (Newcastle, was it?) was...well, earthly heaven . I think it is the real test of a song and performer. And you passed with flying colours. Anyway, watching you grow has been a pleasure. Keep it up. 🙂 P.S. The way you changed it is just awesome.
