National Trust of Trinidad and Tobago

The National Trust of Trinidad and Tobago was established by Act No. 11 of 1991 for the purpose of:-
(a) listing and acquiring such property of interest as the Trust considers appropriate;
(b) permanently preserving lands that are property of interest and as far as practicable, retaining their natural features and conserving the animal and plant life;
(c) preserving, maintaining, repairing and servicing or, arranging for the preservation of property of interest other than land and where such property of interest comprises buildings, augmenting the amenities of such buildings and their surroundings;
(d) making provision for the access to and enjoyment of property of interest by the public;
(e) encouraging research into property of interest including, where applicable, any animal, plant or marine life associated therewith;

Instead of our government approving a $60m "upgrade" for the zoo, it would have been a much more impactful legacy for them to use that same money to reopen a tram service around the savannah. Instead they aim for short sighted and frankly idiotic goals, the zoo is already poorly located and has already outgrown it's available space, it needs to be relocated.

They could have just revamp the system and upgrade the trains make underground sub ways now we feeling the brunt of it in our transport systems today it is sad so many people lost their jobs over the years from the past and current governments closing down things they just run us down to the slums i should say is by the grace of God we trinis surviving 🥺🥺 but there is still hope if we unite and pray hard God will turn around everything 🙏
