Not to be a hype monster. Idc but I doubt prb-01 gets a reprint. Why reprint a reprint set? It was just so those who missed out could get some of the cards. I don't think it warrants a reprint even if prices are "high" but not really considering Op02 was once $400. No one needs gold don

opened two boxes yesterday and pulled the one legged toy soldier alt, and barto alt, but everything else was $10 or less or bulk. was pretty disappointing, but that's the gamble with boxes.

Where would you recommend selling 'cheaper' cards (<$250) and do you have any tips for tcgplayer? I normally sell cards I don't want on ebay if they're worth over $250 because of the authenticity guarantee, but I decided to try tcgplayer. Tcgplayer doesn't have anything like the "standard envelope" ($0.75 shipping and tracking for tcgs), you can't even buy postage on tcgplayer. The cheapest shipping with tracking I could find was nearly $5 compared to the $0.75 on ebay. I use tcgplayer all the time as a player, I had no idea it was so bad as a seller!

I can't see any reason for a reprint. Makes no sense at all.

I mean this set sort of came to be through the online community whining for reprints I’m not sure they’d reprint the reprinted set, the gold dons should be collectors items and they should be hard to find and reward the collector, there’s so many dons you can use in One piece no rules to which dons you can use so I would be very disappointed if they did that. I love this game because of how hard it is to find certain cards and you feel rewarded for getting them, everyone wants to buy their cards cheap and sell them higher and that’s not how it should work

Hope they don't reprint this set tbh. Most of it is bulk, there's tons of cheaper staple singles. It's good to have highly collectable cards like this. PRB was a smash hit! Side note: I know a group of guys planning to buyout the Lucci SP. They're working on the FB groups now and then will hit TCGPLAYER. I'd definitely buy some now if you have ANY interest, before they're 150 each 😢

The people that you're warning against acting this way aren't Pokémon fans in the first place. These types of people are the DESPERATE bottom of society who are either jobless and/or made bad financial decisions in their lives etc. and are taking any/every opportunity to make a quick buck flipping, scalping, & reselling whatever hype product is in demand at the moment. Sane people that "actually" like Pokémon don't show up to stores as soon as they open to stampede down the aisle to pick up 10-20+ boxes while fighting whoever is in their way. Only desperate/crazy opportunists act like that.

Collecting OP in the USA is a better market because it’s harder to acquire, here in the UK the only thing not available from Bandai is OP-01 and those reprints have killed the market

I am a super huge OP fan and just barely play pocket for fun but I think One Piece will never reach where Pokemon will be one day as it attracts much more fans than One Piece and that is already a lot.

The PRB Gold don cards are absurdly expensive now. Knowing that there will be no reprints of those, it will be more expensive.

I bought a bunch of SP cards when I first got into the One Piece TCG back in september. I knew the main chase cards were the Manga arts, but I thought the SP cards looked so beautiful, and felt so cheap compared to the Manga counter parts. Ive been able to grab most of the ones Ive wanted, still wanting to get the Rebecca from OP06 and Ive still wanting to pull some from OP09 before i start buying the singles, really hopping the OP09 reprint drive some prices down for a brief moment.

Perfect timing I just started collecting SPs 😅 The new Wanted Posters, Zoro, and Ace are my favorites. I also think the Issho SP is underrated.

I think One Piece collecting was always there…I think there was time needed for the supply to soak up after the entire internet was whining cards were too expensive. Very annoying…everyone wants to acquire cards for cheap but make sure their cards are expensive….i think the collecting urge was always there and it’s up there with any TCG. I think it would be interesting to see where 06 and onward go….cause no reprints been announced after they made a few extra waves of 01-05

Op08 is the most slept on set I've ever seen in a tcg... sps are gorgeous. Got some amazing alts too, srs are starting to move up in it...people will regret not buying it up when it was 65/70 a box.....Gigiddy

Good analysis bringing up One Piece. I remember people arguing with me about OP-05. "They won't reprint it. They can't!" It got reprinted. So did set 1,2,3. Prices dropped. Did it recover? A little, definitely cheaper than it was but for many months it was ALOT cheaper. Why do people think this won't happen to Pokemon? The idea that Pokemon Center ETBs won't get reprinted? They did that with Fusion Strike. They did it with Celebrations. They will make more for Prismatic.

I thought I was starting to understand the tcg market and then modern pokemon happened and I realize I understand nothing and never will.

The pull rates for Prismatic in comparision to pricing to me isn't worth it. I will wait until prices come down or won't bother.

Great video! Yeah have confirmed theres 2 SPs per case in op09.. that includes the wanted posters... a total of 10 different SPs in op09..... so to get 1 type (i.e nami or wanted luffy) is the similar odds to pulling a manga, roughly 1 in 5 cases... anyway love your work. Cheers
