Добавлен 26 ноя 2020
UCSC’s Center for South Asian Studies promotes and supports the study of India, Pakistan, Afghanistan, Bangladesh, Sri Lanka, Nepal, Tibet, Bhutan, the Maldives, and broader Indian Ocean worlds. Our focus is economic and social justice. Five core themes are key to our Center’s vision: (a) Caste, Gender and Sexuality (b) Development, Growth and Entrepreneurship (c) Technology (d) Culture, Creativity and Innovation and (e) Environment and Sustainability.
Connections between the arts, humanities, social sciences divisions found our vision of South Asia, creating conversations and projects that reach across historical, temporal and cultural divides. We organize scholarly, artistic and activist events on South Asian topics, and collaborate across the university and beyond to deepen scholarly understanding of the region.
