This morning early on the Chenango River with thick cover of fog. Pike were blowing up everywhere around me left and right. This beauty of a Nothern Pike is my personal best to date. I only have a 24" measuring stick and this one was well over that. Had all sorts of trouble landing this one in the smaller net I have. Was not prepared to hook into one like this especially with no leader on the 20 pound braid and Medium power rod. Gave a really nice fight and was a gorgeous looking beast of River Pike. Always a rush getting that Topwater explosion on the Heddon Super Spook Jr. Went with the Red Nose white body this time instead of the Bone color. Seemed to catch Pike, Smallmouth and Largemo...
