Ella and Ted climb Telescope Peak (11049ft)
Ella and Ted hike up Telescope Peak in Death Valley. At its peak of 11,049ft, you can see Badwater, the lowest point in North America (-282) to the east and Mt Whitney, the tallest peak outside of Alaska at 14,505ft. We hiked this is 2020 and were supposed to hike Mt Whitney, but permits were pulled due to wildfires in the state.

Egypt 1 Slot Canyon

We rappelling into Egypt1 slot canyon outside of Escalante, Utah. It was my first rappel in years but everything went smoothly. Ben did a great job with his knots and safety equipment. we had probably 4 or 5 other smaller rappels inside the slot canyon. Overall, it wouldn't be too difficult, but rain had turned the dirt into some brutal mud. We tried to stay out of it for awhile, but eventually...
Rock Scramble into Buckskin Gulch

Out exploring Southern Utah and the Escalante region, we did a rock climb down into Buckskin Gulch. The stream had a decent amount of very cold water and drove 'quicksand' so we didn't get very far exploring the whole area. The slot canyon was very impressive and we didn't see anyone the whole day.

H2Oasis Coleman Hot Water On Demand
Considering this video is 7 years old, if you made/attached something to turn the water flow on and off while it's running I'll assume you found out the hard way why that's a terrible idea. lol. Has a little something to do with the water just sitting there in the pipe...still heating the entire time and just converting into severe burn level steam once you turn the flow back on. Also that's not good for the pump either.
'Promosm'
damn you're strong, i would have freeze!🥶
such a cool toy you guys are handy
HI, I couldn't find my manual and have this model Coleman. Having owned it a few years I've only just retrieved it from storage, but never yet used it. Thanks for your quality video presentation. I really appreciate your calm, unhurried "user" explanation which was most helpful. J
That is interesting. The cheap solar shower bags that we have were on sale at 2 for $9.95 in our local Anaconda, so I bought 10. I have seen them on sale as low as $4.00 each in Anaconda. We can solar heat up to 200L for the ensuite 12v shower system powered from our solar charged 1987 Cub Camp-O-Matic Offroad 380 camper trailer. If the water is not warm enough for a shower, it can be heated a bit more in a big stainless steel pot over a fire. Any empty bags are filled with the same 12v shower pump from a creek in the morning. I had a thought of joining 3 bags together with hose T pieces connected to just 1 nozzle for increased capacity and pressure without using any 12v power. We don't have any LPG system in our camper trailer, but we do have a few cheap gas canister camp stoves if not able to make an open fire. Regards, Jas. VK4FJGS
I am having the same battery issue. Where do you get a replacement battery?
Hi thank you for the video I purchased a brand new one but the pilotwill not stay lite goes out 30 sec after ignition
The only thing I wish it did was preheat so you don’t have to waste water to turn it on
Take a 5 gallon pail put the showerhead and the pump in it circulate it till you get the proper heat temperature then turn the propane off and just use the pump
Can you install a shower head with a shutoff to conserve water?
I like everything about it except it doesn't have a shut off option at the shower head.
Can you charge it with a standard 110 outlet
Hi, great heater, wher can I buy it in EU ?
I Actually own one of these myself they are suuper handy for camping dishes, cooking, and a really hot Shower that lasts about 45 mins full time i got mine here easy delivery . Hit this link best thing yourll eva buy amzn.to/3illENc
Seems that all these corporations starting to recognize their future customers..... Homeless people. I told my boss we need to get into selling tents and tent accessories.
could you heat up a hot tub with it?
Excellent Video, Thank you for sharing this... Do you have a LINK so we can "Click" on it, know where to buy this?
THANK YOU FOR THIS REVIEW GREAT ONE 🏅🏅🏅🏅🏅
Nice video. How did the tent hold up? I am looking at one of those. Does it have a moon roof opening?
As long as you can get a good life span from the pump, it should be a great product.
Did this require an off-road vehicle?
I have one of these ...it sucks.
Iam a truck driver getting tired of the truck stop showers getting one as soon as I can
Doesn't this put out carbon monoxide?
No
Can I use it indoors in my camper or do I necessarily have to be outside
That could be dangerous because there is not a VENT for the Propane... I have heard of people using it indoors... with a Window open with a fan... still a little scary though.. Always have a window cracked open...
@@judichristopher4604 no thank you 😂 I will take your advice and not use it indoors shoot I’m scared too 😂
@@raisingalzoniachalise3058 "Amen Sista..." I agree.
The range in my kitchen has 4 propane burners to cook with. I live in a trailer & have vents right above it. For an rv, I'd likely modify the plumbing, or use 1/2 fittings to join additional shower hoses together to keep it out of the steamy bathroom. The starting temperature of the water determines how hot it will be. It's pretty small and can only do so much on max. The pump enables you to spray the heated water back into a container your pumping from to make it hot enough. In that case, I'd really recommend the adapter hose and a larger propane tank.
So how about a short description of how you set it up to take a shower while camping and still have access to the controls, assuming your in one of those shower tents? Thanks for the review.
Can you turn on the pilot light first ,,then turn on the water pump to save water
Nice review but I would suggest anyone watching this video check out the one star reviews on Amazon. Very high percentage of those from people who bought the product (45% as of 6-7-2020).
Great review! Do you know how long the unit will run on a canister of gas? Just wondering how many days’ showering I could reasonable get out of one canister. Thanks!
never mentioned cost, important information?
The another guy in other channel said 350 Canadian dollars
how much
Could you not just turn it back to pilot mode so you wouldn't have to light it everytime you turn the water back on?
How much do they cost and where can I buy one? Thanks in advance
Those fancy electronics seems like they might be the downfall, especially if temps go way down. I had a shower pump fail from cold. The lithium battery might be another weakness, though the more enterprising among us might be able to replace that when it takes a turn for the worse. The Zodi system seems like it may last longer, even though it takes a bit to heat up.
Have you seen the "One Hour Shower" system? I like your setup and I believe using a filter to recirculate the shower water (1/2 gallon is all the water you need to take a continuous shower) and using the filter keeps the water clean as it circulates through the sump pump. Look up the One Hour Shower and see how you can easily improve your showering needs. Great job on the presentation and your solution.
How do you keep it charged....mine won't stay charged
That control valve looks like a pain in the butt, if you got to adjust the temp while showering.
This system works brilliantly but need a decent size barbeque gas bottle and make dam sure the pump is dead level. i weigh pump down with gudgeon pin of a cummins engine.
Mine keeps shutting off saying low water flow. How do you keep the pump level ? Maybe that’s what keeps triggering my sensor and shutting the unit off??
I guess I would have to make sure I had water with me while camping. Seems like it wastes water to get it started. But hey pump is with it great set up for camping anyway
We used to use one of the older units, the D#&@* Thing Started catching🔥, and wouldn't light OR stay lit most of the time. AND now i'm watching this one on video & thinking🤔 THAT SURE LOOKS LIKE a PLASTIC CASE closely surrounding ALL THAT 🔥 & HEAT just inside😖 NO THANKS...
How long will it take to charge on 12 volt and will it run your battery flat.
From Australia🇦🇺👌🏻Thanks for the wonderful review, I am actually planning to buy one but I couldn’t find any useful review more than yours... Much appreciated💐💐💐
that is cool!
Useless a hose running of hot water kettle is better
How often do you charge the gas tank
awesome! thank you! where can I buy one?
Im going to make one from an ammo box . Never seen one before , great idea . Hang that in a semi sleeper siphon off 2 , 5 gallon buckets , shower in a 5-10 gallon tote , buckets empty out then drain your shower pan back into em , let em leach off going down the road ( its just grey water , no worse than air conditioner condencer run off .) Beats athletes foot from pay showers . If you dont want to run it as you shower , hang an empty bucket high in the sleeper ( stable enough to hold the weight ) fill that bucket with one on the floor ... Gravity shower one gallon per minute=10 minute shower OTR.
ok. 1)can you plug it into 12v and 150 if the lithium battery is flat? 2) Can you temporarily stop the the flow will you soap up and then open up the flow? or must you turn it off completely and then restart it to finishing showering? 3)Can you also connect it to your Propane bottle if you have run out of cannisters? 4)Can you adjust the water flow? 5)does it have a sink filling spout as well? Thanks
Yes, it can be directly connected to a 12v source if the battery is dead. Unfortunately, you need to turn off the heater if you want to turn off the water. This is because it uses the water to cool off the heating elements otherwise it would melt itself just like any on demand water heater. A bit inconvenient. I was looking at making a bypass valve that would divert water back to the bucket and keep it running. Cant change the water flow again due to safety reasons.
it would have been nice to see the propane tank being installed and the details . ty for sharing
The propane tank screws up onto the silver regulator. Takes only seconds and nothing else is required.
There are many many other solutions to use for taking showers or washing dishes. On the other hand, if you want to just buy a solution and are willing to pay more than $200 for a new one, this looks great. And extremely usable . I use a propane stove currently to heat up my water and put it in a 5 gallon paint can , use an imation shower gizmo (~$30) ... but there is a lot to be said for just buying a solution and using it. YMMV. Thanks for the review.
what is an "imation shower gizmo"? Do you have a link?
