Mazda 3. No crank. no start. Starter. Beeping. Test starter.
After scouring dozens of videos, I found yours and it fixed my problem! The issue was with exactly the wire you described! Thank you!
You make it look easy. Very nice, thank you!
Thank you very much , you solve my problem, its really help me❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤😊😊😊😊
that’s my present problem. i go try your suggestion and hope to solve it. thank you very much for now.
You got a part number for that connector?
What if you have a mazds 3 2011 and we have that same problem but ares is 2011 will it still work?
13:28 Hey Irvin, I'm Paolo from the Philippines and an hour ago my car wouldn't start after buying something from a store on the side of the road. It's 2am here in Manila so I cant have a mechanic help me out. I searched youtube, saw your video and now im home safe. Thanks a lot sir!
Glad to hear that you made it home Paolo. It's been a while since your last message but I hope that your car is running well still.
I'm hoping this is my issue! Made it to the store, parked, did my thing, came back to start it...Got lights got power. Nothing from the starter, tried love taps swapping and jumping at the relay. crawling around in the rain😂 got it push started so it's not battery, relay or crank position sensor ( bc that can be same symptoms as this) will dive in tomorrow and advise😉
My brother has a 2008 Mazda 6 that he got from his friend for $400 after the guy hooked the battery up backwards. I was able to replace the main 120AMP fuse and get power to the car, the lights work, and the cluster is working but we have no crank. Already replaced the starter relay, 1 & 2 and the ignition fuse (40amp). Any idea what else we can check to see what the hell is going on?
I need your help
Salute to you brother! It fix my car
I have the same issue. But it only happens once every couple of weeks. It happened today, but my 07 mazda 3 is a stick shift, so I just push started it
How do you take the connector to the starter off?
Look at the small nest you have under the hood... I cleaned that first
7:32 he shows us the starter
Same symptoms here - found same rust/corrosion on spade connector. Cleaned with emery cloth and car started right up. Thank you for this post!!!
thanks buddy
Those black fuses are so hard to pull out like wtf man
Mahalo Irvin for sharing 👍🏽 good to test and check under the car
this to this 😆 🔌
Thanks man fixed my problem
My Mazda Tribute, 2003, 4 cylinder won't crank, start or anything at all no engine check! It all started by cutting off while driving. It could crank but not start, now can't crank at all! What could be the problem?
Thanks, wasn't my exact problem, but helped my find a loose 12 V starter wire. Problem fixed. Great video.
Gracias pase mucho tiempo buscando una explicación para el problema y no la encontré en ningún lugar en español y al final di con tu vídeo y estoy muy agradecido muchas gracias
Ik this is a long shot but I have a starting issue in my Mazdaspeed 3 and I can’t get the starter to turn over even with jumping the relay and the starter is new
This video has helped me twice now Third time I owe you some beers man Big thank you
When u said replace the connector did u cut the wire and splice together or is the connector and whole line replaced? My son's car is having starting issues
Thanks so much for posting this video. I ran into the same issue with the my Mazda 3 after replacing the clutch. I was trying to figure what it was that I put back together wrong. Then I found your video and was able to do some quick and targeted troubleshooting. Sure enough, it was the same connector on the starter that was corroded and made poor contact after being disconnected and reconnected during the clutch job. Cleaning it fixed the problem.
Just got a 179 dollar starter at autozone tried what you recommended instead of getting to that wire and exposing it I ran a wire on the starter and to the battery and bam it worked so I’m gonna change the connector thinking a FDD5.5 with heatstrink for insulation
Thanks for the help!
hi.. thanks for the video.. turns out i have same issue.. where did you buy that connector? any advice how to replace it? thanks
This was the fix on my ‘06! Thank you!
My 2009 cx7 truck doesn't crank or click or make any noise when I try to start it. In addition, the cluster and all the lights turn off and nothing turns on again until after a couple of days.
The cx7 has been parked 10 months, I bought a new battery. Has anyone had a similar problem?
could it be the key that was deprogrammed? or the receiver?
And in this case / most cases we know the battery is not the problem,
First off, why you testing the battery if you already said yourself you know it's good and you have all of your lights strongly Etc etc?? Just get to the point man LOL
Wow thank you a lot of learning from this not only to fix my issue
My starter went bad, after installing a new one car doesn’t start. There is no current on the plate where this clip connects. This must be this clip for sure? Also is there a way to clean it?
Thanks brother u saved me alot of time and money!!!💯
Thanks had the same exact symptoms and I had the same dirty coonection
Check your battery fuse on the terminal side
good karma back at you....thx
Good stuff
I got mazda rustler not starting after engine wash no click on the starter
What did you mean by “jumped one lead to the other lead” on the starter? What did you use? Thanks
You can use any piece of thick gauge cable
Thank you so much. Solved my no start issue as well! I used a blue spade bit and put dielectric grease on it.
Sorry, its that white connector that gets corroded.
Hi, this video has shown me what my issue is, I have a new problem though, I can't work out how to remove the connector from the starter, it seems to be stuck somehow, can you post a short video on how to remove these stupid connectors please.
Thanks for the video, this was exactly the problem with my Mazda 3.
I'm glad that the info was useful, Thanks for the comment best of luck.
Bro, you are Awesome. I watched the Whole video just to see. Earlier this week, my Daughter got stuck and all we did after a few steps was Tap the relay and turn the key, it started. Today, I find out she never took the car in to get checked, so we followed the steps from the other day and Nothing. I checked the car's heater as a Backup, pulled the Starter Relay, made a small Jumper, touched the 30 & 87 slots (I believe), the Starter WORKED; The click-spark Freaked me out because I've been Shocked before, so I did it a few more times... Perfect. I only had sandpaper, scratched up those two blades, cleaned them with my shirt, did Not have Dielectric Grease, so just Hoped for the Best, plugged it in and Boom 💥 The car STARTS 😎👍🏻
Hey Julz, thanks for sharing your story. I can picture the whole story. Working on cars can sometimes turn into a mini adventure trying to find out what is wrong. I'm glad it worked your you. It's been a while since I posted this video the Mazda continues to work fine and is nearing 200k miles. The only thing I recommend is to check the trans fluid if it's an automatic since they recommend replacing more often for the type of transmission. Other than that best wishes/ luck.
Thanks
