Thank you! that was a fantastic video! Nice little pry bar. I plan to replace the rear view mirror in my 2009 Mercury Milan. It has an electric day/night mirror that does not work. Even when they do work they are no good. The ones with the finger flip are the best. And they are so reliable and easy to operate. How stupid are car manufacturers to add so much stupid, useless piece of shit junk to cars. Not to mention the deadly air bags and anti-lock no brakes that have killed so many motorists.

I used to use the 1-Tek from Safelite but will be using the lilbuddy very soon for my new job. It’s almost identical set up for both, but thank you for this. It helps a lot.

This worked perfectly on 2014 Ford E350 van. I used a very small blade screwdriver. Very little movement needed. While holding screwdriver in place I gently tapped the morror base with a small rubber mallet, and it slowly moved. You only need a little movement while prying. You never touch the glass. You screwdriver goes up the slot and onto the mounting base, NOT THE GLASS. REMEMBER: YOU DO NOT PRY AGAINST THE GLASS.

What about the four blue plastic clips that hold the side garnish on what piece is used to replace those clips

Hey. Do you know if the compass is inside of that mirror? My compass won’t calibrate after numerous attempts, but I don’t see anywhere else on my 08 f150 lariat that the compass would be.

If you don't wanna risk cracking the windshield you can leave the mount on, and replace just the glass part, ( the first plastic piece with the glass and the electronics, by prying on the side of the mirror plastic body(prying along all sides carefuly), it's one piece that's attached to another

No activator or primer?? That Glass looks too shiny around the frit. I wouldn't trust it

An added touch would have been a mirror on the outside of the windshield so we could see how the opposite side looks. As well as maybe show it being removed while off of the windshield. I will look for the tool that you have, I bought something different- 2 straight prongs & could not get it up into the slot, even tried a small screwdriver.

Yeah, don’t do this. It immediately broke my windshield.

At least you can run an even bead,I use a square bead,nice job,I also prefer to run the beads on the body,personal preference
