Nice upgrades, I just don't get why you'd choose Aether Spike over Counterspell. The latter literally costs like $0.50 lol. Also, the removal of Aurora Shifter is a bad idea I think. Great card for 2 mana.

Would love to see you tackle food and fellowship with merry and pippin wardens of isengard as the alt commander! Been trying to tune it into a food generating monstrosity myself.

Liked and subscribed! New to magic, just picked this deck up as my first one. The fact that Olivia can give everything including herself +2/+2 (sometimes several times a turn if you can spare the mana/treasures) makes a wide board very tall, very quickly. With a lifelink/flying commander, lifelink and flying support, and some sneaky ways to deal with blockers, I really want to add in “Astarion the Decadent.” That gives a high cost Orzhov option to a pre-con that already has a couple high costs in Red, and I love the effect choices. Requisition Raid is a fantastic card - cheap removal is always appreciated (can you tell I play Priest in Hearthstone?), and the fact that you can basically pick and choose to destroy an artifact, an enchantment, and give all your things another +1/+1 on top of what Olivia does is great. Also, in my first ever commander game, Boros Charm won me the game (on my next turn, no less) by protecting all my permanents from a significant board-wipe; and for that reason I think I’ll keep it in my deck for a long time.

I’m pretty sure Gonti can only take 1 card from a player regardless if you hit him with more than one creature. It’s one per combat

Felidar Retreat is great alternative to Virtue of Loyalty. Can make your creatures really large with Kellan’s ability. The vigilance helps with offence and defence too

I am unsure that it matters, but you did mention you do not like adding infinite combos. Then you added the infinite combo cards right next to one another lol. Maybe you missed it but Mindcrank and Bloodchief's Ascension go infinite off one another. I suppose technically Bloodchief is a 'may' ability, so you can opt to not use the combo, but I thought it was funny enough to point out.

I'm partial to Far Wanderings over Kodama's Reach, just because you will likely mill yourself and have 7 or more cards in your graveyard. Its fairly easy to stack your graveyard with this deck, and its the same cost as kodama's but you get 3 basics in play tapped instead.

Can we get the tricky terrain omo upgrade please?:)

This is the only MTG deck I let myself have, because its too expensive of a hobby. Some adds are ones others recommend, but some you suggest are ones I strongly consider. Your removal suggestions are great, other than one or two. Some I didn't consider removing, but may in the future. Overall great suggestions that I will consider along with a few others.

Sphinx does not need lifelink on the rest of the deck to be good. You play it, copy with the commander and instantly get 4 life which with two sphinxes means 8 energy. If your opponents are not able to remove it until next turn it gets crazy. I did games with this deck with infinite energy from etb triggers in other situations, but outside of that it is the combo that nets you more energy.

Recently picked up this one and appreciate the budget friendly options. Great video!

Yeah, like every Modern Horizons, the card price will skyrocket. I'll try to do pre-release aand some drafst and just get lucky. I'll keeo an eye on all of this cards, mainly for future commander use, maybe Pauper too

Most of the time I tend to hate house rules however, when it comes to mulligans I promote a very laissez faire attitude. The worst thing is getting a bad hand non-game. And I’m 100% with you about commander damage, why bother most of the time. Even the decks I play against where that’s their main consideration, by the time they have lethal commander damage its within regular damage lethal range. So far my experiences at game stores, most peoples decks have been on par with power levels with any exception lasting a single game. It’s seems like most folks I’ve encountered got the memo.

Play what ever you want, this game is competitive, and stop trying to push the narrative that cEDH and edh are different. Most of all stop complaining.

One of my friends has a house rule where the first person to deal combat damage in a game gets the monarch regardless of whether there were cards in play that give the monarch or not. He’s not even a particularly aggro-leaning player but I definitely see his logic in trying to give the game some extra forward momentum. We all have our own house rule but most of them are not effecting the game at large. As an example, at my house lowest roll goes first instead of highest. But that’s because I’m a notoriously low roller 🤪

Can you give advice how to win more, as combo player? Coz most of my playgroup all, kind of high power 🥲. I always having struggling, especially somebody keep messing everyone board, is like, t3-7 keep boardwipe. Including no lands permanent, force sacrifice effects.

please, please please please people! also add all those "Last March of the Ents", Primal Surge and Insurrections into the combo section. its so silly complaining about a combo but then considering those kinds of cards ok

Personally, the only thing i dont really like are infinites. Anything else is pretty much fair game. But that's just me. Exception is if your infinite is like a 5 card combo instead of 2. Then its just funny because someone should have been able to stop it.

Mox are banned in commander so no one should be playing them to be fair.

I built a Kenrith tax deck where I add a bunch of tax effects and irs effects. The other half of the deck are voting cards and monarchy cards. I called it my government/politics deck. It only has 1 3 card infinite combo that is only reserved for when someone is just dumpstering the table. There is little tutors and I usually use those to get more taxation cards anyway. I usually don’t win but I get satisfaction seeing people slightly annoyed when I ask pay the 1?

Hahahah this speaks the truth. I'm sharing this to my group! My group does not really have any rules, we just say to any new people we are casual enjoyers. Honestly we play with a lot of pros as well that combo out with infinite squirrels but thats fine cause we learn a lot from the experience. Can't wait for your future videos about the next set. Its gonna be crazyyyy!

I know whta you say bro about win conditions, thats why i try to be really tricky and control my opponents to actually win, for example, i run Hulkbreaker Horror which is not expensive in Europe and some cards that let you copy spells or creatures you control, so whenever you got two copies of hulkbreaker, you can actually clean your opponents table and have control until you win the game. Also for damage, i run True Conviction which i think is cheap (money wise), it does cost 6 mana (3 white color) but with Kellan you could just cheat in. With True Conviction you get Double Strike and Lifelink to all your creatures, so it is like a semi Akroma Will to finishing off some opponents while gaining a lot of life. Cards that can copy your spells or creatures are, Three Steps Ahead which it can be seen in this video, Invasion of Vyrn, which can draw you 3 cards and discard one card (also when you destroy a battle, Kellan triggers from the front Mana Value of the Battle), and when you destroy it creates an artifact that lets you copy a spell you control for one mana (just once sadly) and the new Visage Bandit, which can be plotted and ready to use to copy any of your big or utility creatures. I hope this helps the Kellan community

I think that with Gonti's ability you actually can play lands, because on how it's worded. It's not casting but play, meaning that lands are added to the equation.
