Great review thank you. I bought one last week. It's a 2023 model with 1600 km on the clocks. Why did I buy it? It''s beautiful with it's red and white livery, it fits me perfectly, it's good on fuel and it is not too powerful. I get home happier and more relaxed then when I drive my car and my wife said to me yesterday that it was nice to have the old me back.. It's been a pretty awful couple of years after a heart attack and a broken shoulder, where I have struggled to remain positive. Thank you to RE for making such a wonderful motorcycle and bringing life back to me!

By the time I found the one on my T120, I had already installed 2 more...easier to find. Under the seat on top of the battery... real obvious ain't it? Geez... Almost looks like something one should not touch... My aux ones are on the handlebar and a sidecar mount next to the side cover. Sidecar is NOT cheating.

Looks perfect in its simplicity

I bought a very lightly used speed twin 1200 a week ago. I absolutely love it. I think I would have loved the t120 just as much but its rare to see a used one come up for sale where I am and I wasnt going to pay AUD22K for a new one.

Jack what a great video! I can completely empathise with all you’ve said. I’ve been riding for 50 + years and can’t imagine not doing so but at 73 with increasing arthritis I can sadly foresee the time I will have to hang up my helmet. Despite having said that I am very tempted by a Classic 350 to sit alongside my Moto Guzzi V7 Stone…. Oh and BTW, I grew up in Chester and still regularly ride up there … 😀

Is the T120 so much better on the motorway? Can’t decide but will be taking for a 200 mile commute on weekends

I agree. I have had many many knives over my lifetime, including many SAKs. I only get new ones when I lose one. I just lost my Pioneer after 35 years, which hurt. So I got a Farmer without the scissors, which I do not need. (If I need scissors, I prefer full size, purpose built ones) Having said all the ALOX scale on my knife have imperfections along the inside edges. Although minor, I can see and feel them. Is this normal for most SAK Alox's today? Anyone?

Bonneville T100 owner here. Interesting that you think the Speed Twin looks too modern because that is what exactly appeals to me. The T100/T120 hark back to a bygone era like a moden mock Tudor house. The Speed Twin looks like what it is, a modern sports bike for the 21st century.

At 2:15 in the video, what is the plug that is just beneath (visually below) the fuse box? The gloss black rubber coating. It seems it's a random plug to just a plastic post. I can't seem to determine the function of it.

To be fair mate why do you need a 1200.

I test rode a speed twin offered a test after I had been on a kawasaki z900rs and I fell in love with the speed twin. I am not a triumph fan and like jap bikes but by crikes that speed twin is a mover indeed

I went on Fuzzy's Biker's , Nifty 350 here in Iowa , lots of 350's a few 500's , on the ride you couldn't tell the difference and looks are close , my 500 kept pace fine and it's paid for so sticking with it ................ thanx for the ride Keith and thanx for the video Jack

I also have D30 armour - The only down side is - the armour can move inside the jacket pockets. Not offering any or hardly any protection - but is better than nothing i guess.

I have a bullet trials total mileage of 60 ,in running it in,I am using redex upper cylinder lubricants to reduce the stress,it seems to be cooler after a run

Hi Jack, My name is Pete, (using my wife's RUclips) I hope all well, I am a new subscriber, but I have watched your channel for a good while, in fact it was one of your videos that got me to buy the classic 500 Enfield, I purchased one of the last before they finished production because of the exhaust emission laws, mine is in the dessert storm colour. I really enjoyed your videos and reviews, but you haven't put anything on for a year, so I hope all is well, I haven't passed my test yet hope to do it sometime in the future, I'm not to far away from Chester, maybe some day we could meet up and have a coffee and maybe take a ride out to that finest pub in Cheshire The Pheasant Inn, and have one of those fine cold Guinness on a lovely summers day, by the way I am 62, and I also purchased the 650 interceptor, so when I have passed my test I can ride further afield possibly Yorkshire Whitby, Scarborough etc, So hope alls well Jack, hope to see some new videos soon All the best Pete

From what temperature does the jacket become too hot to wear in the summer on a bike?

I have heard from owners of both that the 500 has much more pull from stop than the 350.

Would be helpful - To many viewer & potential buyers of this jacket If you could state your height & the jacket size. Not everybody can walk in to a store & try on different sizes.

how true is the fit of the Biltwell vs the Bell please?

I have a 2021 Bonneville T100 and a 2022 RE Interceptor. The Bonnie costs 1.5 times the RE and if you can afford it, I’d say buy the Bonnie because it’s 1.5 times the bike. Better engine, better brakes, better suspension, better switch gear, better service intervals, better reliability, better fuel economy, and better range on a tank. But at 1.5 times the cost difference they are both the same value for money. (My interceptor won’t go into third anymore after 9000kms….lucky it’s inside of warranty….unlucky that it’s going to take the local dealer 5 months to get the parts in to fix it).
