I understand that Song of the South was racist, but splash mountain never reflected that to me and I doubt to anyone else. I’m sad to see it’s gone.

If you watch both videos without your nostalgia getting in the way, Tiana is definitely the better ride. Splash Mountain songs are better but that's pretty much it. Animatronics of Tiana is superior

Wished they would have featured Tiana as a frog, the Prince, and Dr. Facilier. Actually tell a story on the ride as Splash Mountain did.

Most of these theme parks are waiting line rides/games, with the occasional ride interval.

This goes to show Tiana’s isn’t as bare boned as people made it seem. Both rides have plenty of dark parts. The main difference is that Tiana’s isn’t creepy and the scariness of Splash definitely helped build up the drop. But besides that I think they did a good job with Tiana’s. They probably wanted to leave the scary stuff for Villains Land.

I fell like most people aren’t talking about the way you feel watching these. When I was watching splash mountain it felt like just something whole heartedly made for kids to enjoy no matter how many people rode it, but tianas bayu feels like they were just trying to get people to go on the ride then want to go buy tiana merch.

i heard my dad scream like 4 times when i only said "wee" on space mountain ._. GUESS IM IMMORTAL TO SCARY DISNEY RIDES :D

I think the reason they didn't follow the movie was to tie the food theme into the restaurant in New Orleans square. That's ok but wish we got to see her as a princess. For those that didn't get the issue with Splash, watch the movie Song of the South. Also it's funny the drops had less water running but once the log hit, much more water splashes now it seems, the camera got wet every time with Tiana lol.

Guys, the only better part about the new one is that the dark area now has light but like th nastolgia is just were it at splash mountain will always have a place in my heart ❤ I wish they had just made a new tiana water ride or dark ride kinda like parets that should been nice and still keep splash mountain. ❤ 😢😊 guys it was also just like such a good feeling at the end being like that was a good ride

For someone that has never rode either one because I have only been one time my entire life and tianas was under construction at the time....i think I like Tianas better. I get nastalgia but it just looks better to me from this video.

People are giving this ride's makeover a hard time due to childhood nostalgia. I really like this new version, even if the songs are not as catchy

It may appear that there is “less water” this is just under the boat. The water has been moved and re-pressurized to the bottom of the falls. This creates much larger splashes and a much more wet adventure. As a cast member, we were very, very sad to see the original ride go- BUT this ride is just as amazing and the technology will allow them to update as new films come out.

How is it Splash mountain looks more lively and they didn't need digital screens to do it?
