Love your camper
Thank you so much!
Best video for a new bag maker. Thank for a great tutorial.
Glad it was helpful! Thank you for watching!
Great tutorial.
Thank you! I hope you’ll try this technique. It’s my favorite.
So glad you are back. Looking forward to following your travel adventures!
Wow, sounds like your trip will be quite the adventure! Look forward to following it.
Thank you! It’s going great so far!
So great to see you back!
Thank you for the encouragement ❤
Cindy, so glad you are back. Both of you. I have looked for a new flosstube several times. Have fun on your trip. I sure wish you had room for me. Enjoy.
Your kind words are so appreciated. I say the more the merrier ❤😊
Thank you for that info. Everything was closed by the time we got to Hayes but I’ll remember your suggestions for the next time. We are falling in love with the west. I’m sure we will be returning.
Are you using your cricut to cut your hexies? I just used mine to cut a quilt and it was amazing. Waiting on my tack easy to come from AU.
Susan, I did not. Would you believe I gave my Cricut to my daughter in law and if I miss it a lot, I think I’ll buy another. I should have started using it from the get go for this quilt.
Yay...you're back!! So happy to see a new video from you ❤ Safe travels!!
Thank you for your kindness! We’re happy to be back ❤!
Your trip sounds wonderful. Hope you post a lot of pictures and get to visit lots of neat shops.
Thank you Carol! I hope so too.
If you take I 70 through Kansas there is a quilt shop in Hayes Ks. In McPherson ks there is a new cross stitch store and a quilt store.. There is a quilt store in Minneapolis Ks. I live in Salina ks and use to quilt. Now I just do cross stitch. I made a grandmother's flower garden quilt. Sewing them together was great while traveling. Hope you have a great trip!
We played LCR at my retreat, with floss. It was fun. I stitch in hand all the time, and use the sewing method. It's much faster. Enjoy your trip!
Doreen, I love it too! You use it even with big projects?
@@cindysadventuresinstitching I haven't done many larger projects, but I always stitch in hand, and I always use the sewing method
Thank you for sharing. Safe travels and happy stitching. ❤
Thank you Linda! We are happy to be back!
Happy travels. I was so glad I got to meet you while I was shopping at Sew Sweet Quilt shop in Brunswick. Stop at Colour and Cotton in St Louis if you’ve never been, it’s a great shop. I’m fortunate to call it my LNS.
You are fortunate! It was so nice meeting you too! Every time we go by St Louis Color and Cotton is closed. I’ll keep trying. Loved Sew Sweet Quilt Shop!
Safe travels! That sounds like so much fun!
Thank you Diane!
Place a folded towel on your ironing surface. Place your cross stitch piece WRONG side up and press from the back! Buttons will sink into toweling and be cushioned while the background remains flat for perfect pressing! Good luck. Have a great adventure. Good to see you back!
Thank you so much for the tip! We have been out of cell range and I couldn’t get you thanked. I’ll definitely do that.
So good to see you, Cindy! Have a wonderful journey. Sounds so fun!
Your words of encouragement mean so very much. Thank you for watching and taking the time to comment.
have a great trip!!
Thank you, Lisa!
Happy Travels ❤
Thanks! It’s been great so far. I love exploring and we’ve seen some beautiful scenery.
Thank you for another fun video. I’m going to try the EPP idea from Diane. I liked getting to see the demonstration. You have so many cute projects to keep you busy on this trip. Have fun and safe travels. ❤
Thanks, sis! It’s going great so far and I love the Tack It Easy.
Your trip sounds FANTASTIC! Last year my husband had I did a 30-day (7000 mile) road trip - Started in Sacramento, Ca…went through northern Nevada, Montana, Wyoming, North Dakota, Minnesota, Wisconsin, Michigan, Indiana, Illinois, Missouri, Arkansas, Oklahoma, Kansas, Colorado, Utah, southern Nevada, then home. My husband was pretty tentative about it as I made the plans, but during and after he’s sung its praises! We stayed in hotels; your way sounds much more fun!!! Safe travels!
Wow!!! You hit everything! We are loving every minute so far. No big hiccups yet. We just crossed into Idaho from Utah. Every state offers its own uniqueness. Love your comment. Thank you!
I only live about 30 minutes from Brunswick, one of my favorite shops!
I completely regret I didn’t take pics so I could show people. It’s a great quilt shop. We plan on going back next year. Thank you for watching!
Sounds like a great adventure Cindy!!! I was sooooo happy to hear that you are running across older camping ladies in their 60's and 70's. When I retire in 3 years, I plan on buying my dream tiny camper and using it to do nothing but camp at retreats across the country instead of staying in hotels. My hubby says I'm nuts because I act like I'm 30 and not 60 but as long as I'm healthy, I'm gonna make it happen!! Safe travels and I'll definitely be watching! Hugs from NE Ohio.
Oh, I encourage you 100%! You will have a ball! That’s what we did for the Primitive Gatherings retreat. It’s a great way to see the country plus you save money and then you can spend more of stitchy stuff! Thank you for always being loyal to this channel. Means so much!
Great to see you Cindy, and great video! Have a great trip!
Thank you Rhonda!
Colorado Cross Stitcher does not open until 6 on Wednesday’s. Be sure to call ahead.
Paula, you are so right! We ended up not being able to stay another day to go on Thursday. The drive from our campsite was just too far away to go on Wednesday night. But, we’ve gone to some other places that have been fantastic and will highlight in the next video. Please stay tuned and I hope you enjoy! ❤
Cindy, I was just thinking about you this week. Welcome back! Safe & happy travels to you both 😊
Oh thank you so much! I’m glad to be back. Life was just too hectic and something had to give. Hopefully, we will offer things that others will enjoy. Thanks for taking the time to watch. Means a lot! ❤
She's back!
Watch out! 😊
Do you have a link for the glue bottle with the needle nose tip? I glue baste a lot and would love a smaller tip for my glue bottles. Love the french seams idea, I make project bags a lot and plan to incorporate this tip!
I take my featherweight in my caravan too. Off to France/Italy and Germany for a month soon so will be taking plenty of projects to sew too.
That sounds so exciting!
Love your videos. You should make one dedicated to show this beautiful sewing machine.
That’s a great idea! Thank you!!❤
I enjoyed your tutorial. I to have a Singer featherweight mine is 221 made on November 22 1946. They made 20000 of them that yr. Her name is Sara.
Thank You! I'm taking mine to a retreat in a couple weeks. They are just so darn cute and mine sews like a champ! You know a lot more about yours than I do. Makes me want to do some research.
Hi Cindy, I am new to sewing and have tried my hand at your project bag tutorial. I was wondering if you can go into more detail regarding the lace zipper and how to line it up correctly and how to sew it in place. I am one of those people that need closer visuals since I am so new to sewing. I do want to try making the project bag again😊
I will sure try to answer your questions. I always try to place my needle to sew in the holes of the fancy zipper. Check that there is room to open the teeth of the zipper before you begin to sew. Make sure your zipper is at least an inch and a half longer on each side. That way, you don't have to stress that you'll run out of zipper on the sides. The bottom of the zipper is easier to sew than the top because its a straight stitch. Another reason a longer zipper is good is it gives you more room to sew the top part of the zipper to the bag. Again, position your zipper so the needle goes through the holes of the fancy zipper. I hope this helps. Good luck. With anything, practice makes you better. My first bag, I didn't "catch" the fabric on the side and had to redo it. Twice! 😁
@@cindysadventuresinstitching thank you so much for the explanation! I will definitely be trying to sew this again 😊
Love this video. You mentioned making a video with directional fabric, I would love to see one. Thanks for sharing
I❤my featherweight. Out of my seven machines she is my favorite. I rarely use my sew steady table though🤔
They are the best!!! Thank you for watching!
Thanks for showing us Cranberry Bog. I recently heard of it and now i got to see all it had to offer. I will make a trip there soon. I too believe every shop needs a kitty.😊 So sorry you got tangled up with IU traffic.
Betty, thank you for your response. Cranberry Bog has a new location and I haven’t been to the new one yet. Sounds like another road trip!
Man! I thought my Closet was a tight space -- winner winner- Chicken Dinner girl YOU win!
Hahaha! Add a husband in the mix and you really can’t move around! We learn to adapt don’t we?
I have some fabric that was gifted to me, that is already quilted with 2 coordinated colors. It will make a super easy project bag by just adding the zipper! Thank you for the great video.
I’m glad it was helpful. Good luck!
Great ideas!
Hello there. I just found your channel (episode #6), and I enjoyed it so much that I'm on my way to binge-watch all of your episodes. I love your She-shed! Now, I'm off to find episode #1 to start watching. 😊
Thank you for watching. I’m really glad you enjoyed us! Hope you continue to watch!
Lori holt said that when she changes out her featherweights her husband cleans, oils, and lubricates her machine before going back into storage.
Which sew steady extension table did you get?
What does the plastic pink piece on the side mean?
It is a stick on thread cutter. I added that.
Handy hubby
He sure is!
I had that same fireplace in my other house. Loved it.
I love that fireplace too.
What is the pink plastic piece on the side of the sewer
It’s a stick on thread cutter.
I have those zippers and have not used them nor made a project bag this way. I will definitely try it. Thanks so much.
I hope you like making them this way. To me, it’s easiest. Good luck!
Thanks for sharing an interesting video. I’m going to my first workshop this weekend, it’s with Jeanette Douglas 😊. We have a campervan and love going away with our three dogs. The workshop is in Cumbria in the UK and I did think about going in the van but I decided to treat myself and stay in a hotel instead.
I bet you’ll have such a good time. Enjoy! Camping feels like you’re far away even when you’re close to home. Take care ❤
