This siren is tested on the third Thursday of every month 1pm (13:00) This siren used to run the alert signal, then suddenly starting running the pulse signal, and now since it has a jammed open shutter, it makes a hi-lo type signal 🔊 This video also features a good friend @obalarms ! This is a mystery siren since it sounds like a GP12 and seems to have the motor of a Secomak siren aswell. Ireland seem to have these sirens but the name of them is unknown so I will probably class this as an Irish siren. This siren is tested every Friday at noon (12:00pm) Hope you enjoyed the video, and huge shoutout to the guard who let me film this 🔊😁

From what I can see, this is one of the last castle variants from roughly the late 70s. I can tell this because, the makers plate is not centred on the motor it has a wedge base too, the heaters are placed different too. Cool video I’m going this Friday to take a look.

Nice! However I believe it’s just an older/earlier castle castings siren that could do with some new bearings, the heaters could be old too ?! Or they could be klaxon made, but this is definitely an older castle castings of some kind I believe 🤔 either that or a mix of that and early/late Carter parts, nice video though! Especially as it’s hard to find sirens/find active sirens in the UK!

@hmsirensandfirealarms haha I thought so as I saw one of the ebay listings go down not long ago, glad you're enjoying it. Used to have these in my old school including the chloride gent 1501s which I have a few of which I believe were just the earlier version of the mini mono before klaxon made them but had a grey casing and a red rotor they are the same size and same build as the klaxon mini mono p!
@@hmsirensandfirealarmsit is almost impossible to get your hands on the earlier mini mono p's that gent made when they were partnered up with honeywell I have searched everywhere and no luck. The chloride 1501s are exactly the same but louder than the mini mono and we're just an earlier version of the gent mini mono which klaxon decided to continue the mini mono production after gent discontinued them
