Fishing with Dummies

Fishing with Dummies is not just a channel about fishing. In every video, we WILL be fishing. Each episode will be an entire fishing trip adventure, from home to the wilderness and back, including all the fun, food, foraging, and, of course, fishing. Some episodes will be day trips, while others will be longer camping trips.
Trevor and I have been conceptualizing this channel for years, and I finally brought it into realization in 2023.
We have been taking these trips for years, and they have always been a blast.
We wanted this channel to be a show that you can watch after a hard days work, have some laughs, and escape to the outdoors when you can't go yourself.
We always try to promote positive morals, outdoor responsibility, and life kindness. We are a couple of dummies for sure, but we're always trying to learn.

On this phenomenal trip, Zac got to camp with some longtime friends. They took a group hike to some local cliff jumps and fished along the way. My husband & I do day fishing trips. Sometimes, a weekend fishing trip and we always bring trash bags in case we need to pick up other people's trash.

I have just been frying mine in oil with a fine fish batter lately. I have this Friday off so might head out for an overnighter then. Weather looks like it's finally gonna turn Fall though and get on the cold side

When that jiggling is happening on the power bait, just set the hook right then, no need to lift up the rod and wait for a feel. Set it when it is on the ground! LOL You woulda caught your limit if you woulda just had one rod going at any given time and not two rods. I agree on the closing comments, lots of different types of trips outdoors, all have their uniqueness. Good to get out any way we can. I don't always have the best luck fishing, sometimes the fish gods shine down on us, many times they don't. Long as we keep getting out there and having fun all that matters. No caterpillars this trip and a few on the stringer so all around a successful outing!

Cool videos! Enjoying them! Ever used a bobber for trout fishing in streams? It can be really effective. Put your worm a foot or two below the bobber and float it from the head of the hole all the way down current to the end of the hole

Good times minus the rashes galore!!! I dealt with it for a good 7-10 days afterwards, fuck those caterpillars! You couldn't avoid them, though.

At 20:37 minutes you needed to stay left of the stream and cross at the big rock. Way easier on the left of river.

No way I could even get my mouth around that double, damn! Sorry for the skunk, no bueno. I popped my cherry on the Pecos finally last week and caught some trout last weekend. Nothing to make the fishing report photos but it was good to land something on the end of my line for a while. And damn those trout were tasty! Looking forward to maybe joining y'all on another trip at some point!
