How long does usually a sprain in the elbow heal
hey bro , I have grade 1 , and its already 2 week from my injury , When can i start this rehab ?
youre good to go, just started mine almost 2 weeks after my injury
Effleurage, Knitting, cross muscle fibre, knuckle draining
Great video thank you
I'm a sports therapist. Some of this info is incorrect. The difference is sst sport therapy is apart of SEM professionals (sports and exercise medicine) this type of medicine is for anyone with a body, not just athletes. We use a sports medicine model of healthcare to optimize physical function and health, whereas physiotherapy utilities the medical model to treat disease. Both Sports Therapist and physios do rehab. Both have different opportunities and different skills, however there are similarities.
I crashed my dirt bike and have a thigh contusion on the outside and am having a hard time bending my knee and super anxious about this but it feels more tight than anything should I start stretching it? Happened 3 days ago
Do you recommend any supplements for recovery?
Can you do hydrotherapy in week 2 in grade 1 injury?
I have an " intermediate grade tear" from pcl injury 4 weeks ago. Do you know how long it generally takes to return to sports?
Hey, have you now managed to return to normal? It has been 3 months since your injury. Can you walk long distances, drive long distances? Can you jump?
Do you recommend St George to do the master? I’m looking for uni 😅
Can you do the squats if there is minor pain?
bro i got kneed while playing basketball. i got a nutmeg but got stuck on his knee. it’s the next day and it still hurts , never had a dead leg this long bruh😹
Thank you
Was looking on the internet after getting crunched in the thigh by someones knee in my football game. I can't bend my knee more than 45 degrees, should I go and see a physio. It's been more than 4 days.
Thank you so so much for this video! I had a Bakers Cyst and I keep thinking that the pain behind my leg was the Bakers Cyst. After seeing this, I think. It is the PCL.
Thank you. Great vid. Just starting my journey on becoming qualified as a Sports massage therapist. This was really helpful. Best wishes.
Hurts my LCL during a sparring session. Although it does not swell or bruise, it hurts pretty suck. Thanks a lot for the informative video
My hyperextension was pretty minor, I did it on my left leg on leg press - was accompanied by a little bit of pain when squatting ass to grass. Fast forward a year I'm very off balance when walking now, because ever since the injury I changed the way I walked. Left knee extends further back when locked out. 0 pain though. Problem is I bare so much weight on my right leg and barely any on left.
I played football and I got LCL tear, but I can walk with no problem only when i switch sides or put weight on it.I don't know how I got it ,I go to the gym and I squat a lot with heavy weight pushing my self , and how a small move I've hurt my knee I don't get it .!
GOD this is the best video!! Literally told everything i wanted to know! So much informative. Bless You
So, after Bhs, in sport you vent to master physiotherapy? Or after foundation in sport got to physio firs year?
After my my bsc I went into my masters in physiotherapy
Video is concise and informative as usual, thank you Hopkins!!! 🔥🔥
The editing is TOP tier professional here, Hops 🫡 Very well developed video. Be proud 🙌🏼
Great video using after sore knee from car crash
Appreciate this a lot
Advice for rehab if you have pcl tear along with mcl tear?
Great video
Are these exercises helpful even without a normal range of motion? I'm 9 days post fall (fell backwards, sprained elbow and wrist), can't fully sttaighten arm yet. Hoping these exercises help along with light stretching. Thank you.
how long did it take to be able to fully straighten out your arm
Took me weeks (4-5?) before I could fully straighten my arm. Another few weeks to put full weight on the arm (like in yoga). Months later 100% healed but it took a while. 💪
Tore my PCL in feb of 2023. recently minor re-injury to it but couldnt remember all my exercises. this helps!
For everybody wondering how bad it really is, it isn’t bad at all. If it is a small hyperextension, first few days, may hurt bit. After that, you should be fine (if you take proper care) now, if it is major, might wanna go to the doctor. This kind of exercise may help a tiny bit. But you should definitely listen to what the doctor’s recommendations are. When I first hyperextended my knee, I thought it was going to be really bad. Turns out, it wasn’t! Like I said, first few days, may hurt a bit, after that, you should be fine. Do not worry!
Can’t wait for the return
This is the most helpful and information video. Thank a lot. I've been searching in several videos bug not explained this well. I fell down the stairs and thos happened on my knee ligament. So painful. Doctors dont explain this much. Was tokd to rest 3 to 4 day and gave crutches to help walk. It's been over a week and pain still there but swelling has gone. Tried to do regular chores but hard to get up from floor. Will defo try these exercises 👍
I was doing squats earlier. I think i dropped down too quick and heard a kind loud pop. Did 3 more reps of 135. Racked, checked knee then did 8 more reps. It doesnt hurt. But it does feel kind of numb. Do you think i tore my lcl?
Thank you 🙏🏽
was playing football and twisted my left knee to the right while it was planted, felt a funny sensation on the outside. The next day, my knee was really swollen, made crunching sounds when it was partially bent as well as felt like it was giving way/ instability. A&E told me my latera meniscus was torn so this is really good for general info appreciate it
What! 5:26 if you can do that without falling, you have already recovered.
I got an LCL while playing soccer in December 2022. 1 month later, I had an accident while recovering and I aggravated the injury. In fact, the re-injury was way painful than the first. I started full recovery and started all the exercises to improve my knee strength and return to full fitness. After about 8 months, the pain was completely gone and I started jogging and I could even do sprints without any restrictions. I returned to the pitch for a couple of weeks, but when I went for a tackle, i heard my knee shift again. I'm back to square one again and I'm going to go go through all the exercises outlined in your video. I know my injury belongs to the Grade 3 and I'll be more careful to get back to full fitness. I do love Soccer a lot. I'm going to also get a knee brace to begin using when I return to the pitch. Is waiting for a year adequate enough to get me back to fitness?
Go see a doctor or physiotherapist. You need a tailored plan and advice
How many times a week should we do these exercises? Daily?
3 to 4 times a week
Thanks bro 👍
Hi. I came across this video because I had my LCL done as well just 2 and a half weeks ago from basketball when I was doing the euro step. My recovery has been great lately, and there are times where if I walk in a specific position I’d feel my knees tweak a little bit so I have to limp to get to my destination. The balance floor I can’t quite do yet because I feel like that my knee is going to give up so I don’t do that exercise. Should I avoid any exercises until I can kind of be a bit more mobile? I’m trying to be patient cause I just want to walk properly and fast again😂
😢 l woke up yesterday morning and l injured my elbow the back of it. 😢 l can't do exercise yet caz it hurt and l can't stretch my arm fully yet. I'll for a couple of days if gets worse I'll see my GP. I am putting muscle cream spray on it. Let's see how it goes. 😊
Can I email you or call u on the phone ig sometime
I am 10 days into a pretty bad contusion. When should I begin stretching? It's too painful right now.
