Service Browne & Sharpe dial test indicator 7026
Procured a Brown & Sharpe 7026 dial test indicator that was unresponsive. Hard to move and would stick in position after moving. I decided to dissect it and se what could be accomplished…
Maybe someone else will find this video helpful. I know I found very little on the inner workings of DTI

Old rim lock door latch mechanism

This is the rim-lock (bolted to the outside of the door) door latch/doorknob from the bathroom door in my 1768 farmhouse. The mechanism is fascinating. I disassembled to clean and re-coat it as it was not working very smooth. The deadbolt is out of the mech in this video. Yes… there was a spider nesting inside lol
Chinese K-type thermocouple wire color codes
Просмотров 2,8 тыс.3 года назад
This Amazon thermocouple color codes are non-standard and cause confusion. K-type Thermocouples require the correct wite material (Alumel & Chromel) to work right. Extending the wiring with the incorrect wire type causes incorrect temp readings. Mixing the Alumel and Chromel wires up also messes up the reading. This video is all about how to determine which wire is which with a magnet. PEMENOL ...
Thank you for the great video. I am going to attempt to do mine tomorrow. Is there a torque setting on the torx 25?
Thank you, and no problem! I get a lot of ‘how to’ information off RUclips so I thought I would give back a little. I didn’t see any other good videos on this so I thought it might be helpful to post some. Good idea on the liquid paper. I wonder if it would stick with all the oil? Worth a try. The kit I got is made of a different type of rubber and should hold up longer than the OEM rubber. That’s the thought anyway.
Comments disabled on Part 3/4, so I will thank you here for taking the time to do this nice video. I think I bought my kit from eSaabParts, but yours is better? Maybe I will look into getting yours instead. Love the block of wood idea. A tiny drop of liquid paper on top of those those veins can help you put it back (and you can flick it off with your fingernail before putting it back on). Torquing the bolts like a snare drum is a good way to ensure pressure is even across the gasket.
OMG. The ending is the best. Thanks.
Hope it helps!
Awesome ❤❤❤
Thanks 🤗
Your wrong, the red one is Alumel because is magnetic and also de negative wire.
It’s been a while but I do think I got them mixed up. Thanks for the correction. Hopefully the test still helps though
I have legit K-type extension, I have a stack of round 15 mm X 2.6 mm N45 magnets. It only takes 1 of those and it's clearly pulling towards it. Thanks for sharing this tip!!
Happy to help!
Thank you for the knowledge... Can you please help me by explaining why are most countries using an American standard and Also what does it say. Thank you
I’m not sure why there are different standards. After a lot of internet searching I found some color charts and ‘guessed’. Somewhere I came across the magnet trick, tried it… and sure enough… it works.
