Trijicon RMR - Green/Amber? Cerakote/NB?

A comparison of dot colors and different finishes. Email from Trijicon: Dear BA, Good afternoon and thank you for your interest with Trijicon products. What we have found in testing is that it is difficult to transmit a crisp defined green dot with fiber and tritium alone where the amber does emit enough light. We are trying to come up with a solution for the smaller MOA in green and if and whe...

Would you buy a "New Old Stock" that was never fired for $200?
5:17 that aged poorly
was the manifesto "found" by the cops if so I wouldn't trust any thing that yhey "found"
In other words, if somebody breaks into your home and you want to use the strobe to blind them, you must wield the gun with one hand, while using your other hand to maintain the strobe. This is absolutely ridiculous. There should be a way to activate the strobe, and keep it on while being able to use your nondominant hand to hold the gun or whatever else you need. Also, pressing twice in 0.4 seconds seems like a liability if you have adrenaline rushing. Overall a failure.
The decocker button was only included on the QA to make stripping safer and was indeed called stripping button in the manual. Normally a cocked gun you would have to pull trigger to strip. So to make more safer you could press the button. The DAO version double action only had no button at all.
Thank you, love a visual demonstration in videos
Would have been nice to have included the Pro vs Con document in the notes.
Best QA review I have seen... Why does the QA have a decocker, agree seems like a waste? AND what does the "Quick Action" really mean?
Did I miss it? Why no photos of the right side of the pistol?
Thanks for the video. Already 0:37 seconds in you explained more than most reviews on optics planet
Has that beaver tail been changed?…. It looks different?
How can I fix this issue?
Is it normal for the barrel to drop or is the hole loose to the barrel and thats what causes the barrel to drop so the bullet can go in the chamber my barrel is really loose like something has worned down
You can test to see if it will store on low batteries......To make the test fair.....just swap the batteries.....We can see how they both behave on new and old batteries.
Buy rechargeable batteries. This is not a live video, so pause it buy new batteries, return to finish the video a week later, and we would never know. We can't accurately compare now after watching this video.
That’s how red dot glass looked 10 years ago!?
Which of these has the easier to rack slide?
I would say the M&P due to the single spring rather than the dual one on the Ruger. Thanks for your view.
2022, they still don't have green 7 moa HAHA!
You forgot to mention one of the most important factors when comparing the two! You will most likely need a Nielsen Device to run a suppressor on a floating barrel. On a fixed barrel you don't need this.
You forgot to mention that the Moe handguard accepts M LOK attachments as well. I have that identical rifle. The only difference is.. I have the carry handle rear sight on mine. I'm contemplating doing a setup like you have there and then adding some rails on the front hand guard to do iron sights kicked off at a 45° angle. I think the only downside to that is I would have to flip up that magnifying part of the optic to use them. As I get further into it I'll figure it all out. It's one hell of an accurate rifle right out of the box. And this model is discontinued. They're not that hard to find. But definitely something to hang on to. Anything that's discontinued could be worth quite a bit of money decades from now. Hell maybe even sooner. Excellent video. Very well presented.
Failed to mention the main reasons is one pistol has a fixed barrel and one is free floating
Awesome vid
Birdshot mag dump to the face. Game over.
Remember the attempt on Reagan with a .22LR 2" pistol - Facts dont lie. In 1981 Hinckley attempted to assassinate President Reagan with a 22. 1 shot in the stomach dropped a secret service agent like a rock. 1 shot to the back of the neck dropped a police officer like a rock. Neither got up. 1 shot hit James Brady in the head, dropped him too. Did not get up. 1 bullet RICOCHETED off the car and hit Reagan on the left side under his arm in the chest. It hit a rib and went almost completely through his lung. The underestimated 22 will work for self defense very well. A .22 LR bullet is capable of inflicting very serious injuries (e.g. the four people wounded during the Reagan assassination attempt) or death e.g. the Kauhajoki school shooting (11 killed and 1 wounded), the Jokela school shooting (8 killed and 1 wounded), or the 1979 Cleveland Elementary School shooting (2 killed and 8 wounded) as well as the assassination of Robert F. Kennedy. Numerous other shooting incidents have demonstrated that .22 LR bullets can easily kill or seriously injure humans also read this - www.gunpolicy.org/documents/5561-22-calibre-rabbit-rifles-kill-more-people-than-any-other/file
I put 17 rounds since I bought it, no problem. it's lighter than a 1911 that I also use. I guess you can bitch about anything, it's easy to do.
I know this video is old, but after 10 years, my sr9c is STILL phenomenal and has never had any problems.
I knew there was a reason I liked m9 over 1911 during military service.
This guy takes hotdogs to the bum.
Did u delete the resonator or the cats or just replaced muffler
You might want to invest in a cheap little light
y trigger on Sr45 has play in it meaning I can move it to left…Is this normal on the sr45?
I prefer the black version. They wear much better, gives it a battle wear look. This finish just looks broken when worn. I got rid of mine as soon as I saw it start to wear and went back to the black finish. Otherwise they are great.
The ergonomics are about as good as it gets. The paddle release is awesome. Very quick. I've carried a p99QA and a p99AS on duty for almost 20 years. Never let me down. Fantastic pistol.
Which did you like better?
Very well done! I have used one since 2012 as LEO backup and off-duty. Last year I bought the Sig 365 and it is a great gun. However, I am back to the CM9. I like the double-action-like pull for pocket carry. Smooth and safe with a low bore axis and offset feed ramp. I agree the Talon grips are a must. Love the gun!
Never knew you have to replace, (or that you even could replace) the tritium after 10 years. Is that specific to the RMR due to its small size? I wonder if my bigger Trijicon that’s sitting in the dark safe prolongs that or if doing so has the opposite effect…?
fixed barrel is better, less moving parts, less point of failure.
This is the great video comparison of those light. Helped me a lot. Thank you.
Good review, thanks...
i think the biggest downfall is plastic guiderod
22lr target pistols, HiPoints, Revolvers and Makarov. All VERY Accurate. (PS. I understand the shortcomings of the video, but I appreciate the effort and time you put into the video,...Thank you.) And Merry Christmas.
Sooo... Which design will be a "good one" ?
Nice review and shooting. Subscribed. I have the 9 ported. Now looking for the 40 like yours. Probably a tough find.
In a 1911 quality magazines is crucial, also I found that using an 18lb recoil spring and installing a milled stainless magazine catch seems to hold mags in the gun tighter.
Is the Ruger security 9 barrel supposed to move alot?
Wow, awesome.love how the facts of the owners manual are made present, along with technique shown to what's being explained. Best video on this gun by far
This video explained alot
Its a 4inch barrel the colt commander has a 4/1/4 inch barrel.
No torque , compared to my 5.4 lord
I like to go back in time and hurt the person that invented floating barrel
