My ex was stationed at Oak Knoll Naval Hospital from 91 to 95. But we lived at the NAS Alameda Officers housing with our 2 children at the time. I was told this housing had since been torn down. It was located off base. But NAS was practically in our backyard. Is this housing in your clip on base? I do not remember seeing housing there. But I never went the full length of the base. Mostly did my shopping for groceries there. Thing like that.

5:53 yeah that’s sum fckn guttah shyt right there, I’m from Sacramento myself and one thing I can say about Stockton/Lodi it’s really it’s own world down there, don’t get it twisted, South side of my city is xtra hood but in the 209 you got beat up dinghy ass buildings right in the middle of the country side, tore up ass un-even roads and railroad crossings. Hot dry/deadly environment, hella homeless people/ violent migrants, corrupt local law enforcement, +Numerous gangs throughout the whole city. The scary part is it’s right in the middle of the lone valley and prior bankruptcy, if you get popped out there, it’s gonna be a hot minute before authorities respond to the situation, I’m talking 25-45 minutes tops, you can lose a lot of blood just in 10 minutes, so you can imagine what the survival rate is like out there.

Stockton has allot of issues and it starts with the higher ups. The city is so corrupt. I've have live in Stockton all my life and is two blocks from Nightingale where you deem is a bad side of town for 12 years now and there has been more homicide in North side then South .. love my neighbors and neighborhood . I know everyone on my block and you drove past my house..

I lived in Burlingame as a kid and was a competitive swimmer. I remember several big AAU swimming meets at the Alameda Naval Base pool. This would have been 1960-62. The building was huge, cavernous, and there was all sorts of training equipment there, like parachutes, etc. I can still remember the smell of the place!

lol I’m a rural carrier and all the areas you described nice was all rural areas considered by usps and all routes I did. All the bad areas were city route lol. Ironically you didn’t even get the Spanos area were I’m at now. If you want the bad areas you should have asked a city carrier. I often had to help out city carriers with express mail and man some places I didn’t know how bad it was….

During the mid 90's I just got into SF and working at a electronic store. This lady bought a complete stereo system with cash. NO ONE would deliver to her home at Hunter's Point. I had a car so I volunteered. I packed her whole sale in my car. I got lost and stopped by a corner store to ask for direction. I said "Hi, I am kind of lost". The owner said "No shit you are lost! What the hell are you doing here?" I explained I need to make a delivery. He gave me directions and said "You better be out of here before 5pm". When I found the place, she called her son to get his "friends" to watch my car because she did not want my car to be stolen while I was hooking up her system. I never went near that area.

I remember when the stadium used to be in Hunter’s Point. I felt like it was a city at nighttime, giving it a sense of awe to those that saw it. I miss the times where the night around the neighborhood felt mystifying. Why can’t they clean up Hunter’s Point and make it livable?

Stockton: 1st established township in CA. Locals Holt Brothers established what we now know as Catapeller. Corp. So much history related to Stockton. I've had the privilege of meeting some descendents of the founding Weber family, very humble and fine folks. There seems to be a major democratic shift the last several years with folks from Bay Area being priced out and moving yo the valley. Major influx noted from Oakland area. One of the most diverse cities around.
