I was only nine years old at the time. Around 4 years before Johns death, I used to listen to my own 2 children's records and my parents records in the basement of our old house. I immediately became fond of The Beatles and Wings. I recall in 1980 my parents were watching Monday Night Football when an announcement came on that John Lennon had been shot. I was in the hallway bathroom and suddenly heard my mom scream so loud and start to cry it scared me. I didn't understand then but I later realized how much sorrow his death brought to so many.

These guys were never friends this is was a business venture for them personally I think they are all freaks....even in death they are so disrespectful.

One of my best friends and brother died night before my bday found out he died the day of, I talked to him literal hours before he died. We only spoke for a few minutes and its was more of a goof call. I said to my sister in law "ill call him back" i never could and the last thing i said to him was a goofy joke. Hindsight im glad it was leaving him with a smile but i wish i would have called him back immediately

As far as I'm concerned, prison is going to be the safest place for Mark David Chapman until he dies. Because if he ever does get released from prison into the free world, somebody will eventually murder him. Don't get me wrong. I'm not trying to excuse Chapman for murdering John Lennon. I'm just saying that prison is his only "safe" world for him for the rest of his life. With that said, rest in peace Mr. Lennon, and I hope to meet you in the afterlife.
