I originally created these tracks for a now-defunct Alien RPG podcast I was going to do. Instead, I'm releasing them here on RUclips for you to use with your own games!
All music was arranged and composed by me, with some melodies or motifs from the first three Alien films, which were composed by Jerry Goldsmith, James Horner, and Elliot Goldenthal, respectively. None of the recordings for those scores is here, I just transcribed and adapted some of what they wrote.
Made in Cubase, using primarily Spitfire Audio libraries, virtual synthesizers, and samples.

Hi, great video! do we know what speakers are on Billy's Marshall cab?
He stated his Premiere Guitar Rig Rundown that the Marshall cab has: "It's the... G12 Vintage, not the Vintage 30's. 1960AV cab. I think it's a 70-watt speaker." He says he's used the same cab since 1996 but his older rigs (2000-2004) seemed to favor VHT cabs. No idea what those speakers are.

Guitar-wise for Tool? Invincible. For some reason the chord picking really trips me up. For bass, I'm not sure. Maybe Reflection. The same riff is played for like 8 minutes total or something. Hard not to cramp up or goof it up lol
The Beta Lead/Bass weren't actually late 90s/early 2000s - They were mid-70s until the 80s. Kinda cool it has the option to switch between Lead/Bass! Those amps are rad they're basically just a huge analog distortion pedal (even though Sunn called it digital)
Thanks for the insight! I thought they were made much later than that. And I think the misnomer probably comes from people seeing a CMOS chip in it, which are typically associated with digital signals. You're definitely right though, no digital here. It's what makes the circuit and excellent candidate for a preamp pedal - no compromise with the preamp section, it can be replicated 1:1 without any modeling or substituting tubes with transistors or fets, etc

Can you help me with choosing the right amps, etc. Unfortunatelly, I have a Telecaster and it's quite a task to get the proper sound out of it. And you nailed it!
All depends on budget and needs! I wanted to be able to record direct / with impulse responses but use tube amps. I got both of my amps on pretty good deals. I use the Mesa Boogie Badlander and the Marshall DSL20. I have a third “amp tone” coming from a clone of a Sunn Beta Lead preamp. A humbucker pickup (preferably the SH6 or get a custom made DDJ), a moderately high-gain tube amp (or two) and stay on the bridge pickup and you’ll be quite a ways there.
@@moviescolin as a drummer/acoustic guitarist it's a rocket science for me, for now. Trial and error will do the trick for me I suppose. Cheers, mate! All I have is a Focusrite sound card and an Amplitube. We'll see how it goes.
@@slaymunk9932 See if Amplitube has amp models of: Marshall Superlead or 100W Plexi; Mesa Dual or Triple Rectifier; Diezel VH4 These are the amps Adam uses or has used. Crank the mids, set the treble a little lower than max, and set the bass between halfway and max somewhere. Gain maybe halfway or so. All into 4x12 impulses from Mesa or Marshall 👍🤘

If you look pinch harmonic up on RUclips you’ll find some tutorials. Seems difficult at first but gets super easy over time
