Thank you for posting this! Our field trip was canceled due to the pandemic and this something I can share with my class.

I never knew about the plans to possibly tear down and rebuild the capitol building after 1963, and I'm so happy they didn't. Every one of those monstrous modernist/brutalist building concepts were ghastly. I hope this monument to our great state and its citizens remains a valued and preserved piece of architecture.
