It was magical! We did visit Galle Fort just for 10 minutes but I think the battery died on the camera. I think we may have driven through Nuwara Eliya, but I'm not sure! It sounds familiar!

No, you don't have to wear white! I saw a video online of a lady wearing white as it's the traditional colour to wear inside a Buddhist temple. As the trip was planned beforehand, I knew I wanted to wear that colour! As long as you are covered, you are allowed entry. I had a scarf wrapped around my top as it was a little low. Just a tip- the line goes very fast to see the tooth relic and you are not allowed to take pictures/stop when walking past it. It's better to go during the day as we just about made it there in the evening before they shut the doors. After you've seen the tooth (covered in gold), you can take pictures etc.

Thank you so much! We wanted to see the hidden gems of Sri Lanka and all the traditions so the cultural show was nice to watch. It was also included in our package so that's why we went to watch it! The wood carving place was on our way to Kandy from Dambulla. We wanted to see some markets and saw one on the way so our guide parked up and took us - it was brilliant. On the way to Kandy we also went to a Batik Factory which was ok/quick, and the Ayurveda medicine/spice gardens which was brilliant! The drives to different locations were 2-3 hours long and therefore why these stop-offs were really nice.

Amazing!! You will have the best time!! Have you booked with a guide? We donated clothes and stationary as they go deep into the villages where many families cannot afford to take their children to schools as they have no books, pens or pencils etc. You could go to Poundland and grab pens in bulk boxes which is what we did rather than one-by-one. If you have a tour guide, they can tell you what items to bring which is what ours did. If you have any other questions, let us know! Have a brilliant time - it's an incredible holiday to experience the wildlife, nature, people, and community which is still rebuilding after the terrible tsunami in 2004. Ah, I don't remember the shower temperature changing! Did you stay in the water villas or on the beach? I agree, a week is more than enough to switch off and enjoy the activities they have to offer!

Hey Ram, thank you! Download the obluXperience app on the App Store as it has all of the activities schedule and experience costs on it. If you would like to leave the island to go somewhere, then you should plan ahead so the hotel can arrange a boat. We stayed on the island the whole time. They organise little things like yoga, karaoke, pool fitness, etc so you won't get bored!

@@jasonjoseph8700 It depends on references. the south asian reference on my heritage is based on south/central middle caste indians. the girl in the video is northern indian (from punjab i think based on the results since almost every punjabi ive seen got similar results to her on myheritage). the european/west asian combo is from steppe/aryan migrants who came to the subcontinent thousands years ago. mostly pakistanis, northwest indians, nepalis, bengalis and upper castes from rest of india have their mix in varying percentages. So the results are basically saying she's about 75% middle caste south indian like + 25% steppe aryan like. Steppe people were basically a mix of half euro and half BMAC mixed so a combo or euro+west asian is the closest mix to this foreign dna.

You're much wiser as you're older and can make better judgements about the person. We were lucky enough to grow with each other but that's not always the case for other couples as they sometimes tend to grow apart with different interests and goals.
