Trying to get rid of the ego is the biggest ego trip of all. The ego doesn’t even exist. Like he said, fighting with the ego to get rid of it makes it like it’s real.

you only try not to be attached by thinking, because of thinking before 😅 if there would be no pre thought about your "thinking problem" then there would be no "not attached" its all mind and you cant get rid of it because you as a seperate being dont exist... its like looking at a river flowing and suddenly freeze the scene and cut out 1m of the river, a litte wave, than you let it go again but in slow motion and say "look the wave is born and there it dies" its only through perspective and the illusion or concept of time, fast forward an american highway 500% and all cars disappeared from the eyes, doesn't mean there werent there but for human perspective it appears like this.

Its impossible to be awake and not know it. This is not the Tathagatagarbha teaching. The teaching indicates that everyone has an buddha-embryo that must grow until it manifests as the buddha-nature interacting with the world.

In Confucian culture this "ego" teaching is very difficult due to filial piety and obsessions with legacy building and family name.

1:35 "....what you really are". With all respect there is a contradiction here. If the "goal" (if there is any at the end) is not to disolve the ego but to not attach to it how can we say "you" or "I" ?. "I" involves the ego so therefore what "you" or "I" really are can not be. To EXPERIENCE this is the DIFFICULT part. The thing is not to "add" but sustract everything and the light will appear on its own. Just saying. ;)

Everyone has or can have an Egoic Self or Ego, however the Buddha teaches NOT to hold or cling onto it, otherwise more Sufferings. Meaning, neither reject nor accept your Ego - but to transcend it in our life. However regardless, the iconic 6th Patriarch says - sufferings are always there because we have a human physical body which comes from birth, suffers pains of growing up, ageing, decay, ailments & sickness to eventually death! So that to endeavor complete eradication of sufferings in oneself and others - is delusory or a myth!

Summarize & crystalline the Diamond Sutra, it is just 1 very profound & meaningful dharmaic term - "Non-Attachment." According to Virmalakirti Nirdesa Sutra which states : "Non-Attachment is the BASIS for all the Dharmas to be established." As long as One is attached to anything whatsoever - dharmas, not-dharmas in practice, One shall see NOT the Tathagata till the end of aeons of time - Buddha tells Subhuti in the Diamond Sutra. Non-Attachment also means the Don't-Know Mind or One's True Nature or Face, or Tathagata or "Lu Lai". 😊🙏🙏🌷

Now they're frightened of leaving it Ev'ryone's weaving it, Coming on strong all the time, All through' the day I me mine. I-I-me-me mine, I-I-me-me mine, I-I-me-me mine, I-I-me-me mine. All I can hear I me mine, I me mine, I me mine. Even those tears I me mine, I me mine, I me mine. No-one's frightened of playing it Ev'ryone's saying it, Flowing more freely than wine, All through' the day I me mine. I-I-me-me mine, I-I-me-me mine, I-I-me-me mine, I-I-me-me mine. All I can hear I me mine, I me mine, I me mine. Even those tears I me mine, I me mine, I me mine. when you see a dog chasing its own tail in order to catch it, not knowing that it's already his you will realize your enlightenment. When you see your right hand little finger being disillusioned with life, taking a great journey across the body to the left hand to ask a great and wise left hand little finger how he can be One with Everything, and the great and wise left hand little finger says "my friend, you ARE one with everything. You are both the individual, and me, And the entirety of the body. you are all these things and none. me, the individual, the body, and none of these things." When the right hand little finger sits down for a moment and realizes that he is himself, the left hand little finger, all the other fingers, the toes, the body, the bones, the internal organs, and you, and neither. he will be enlightened. and from that, you will be enlightened. When you sit back and realize that you are the 'I AM' beyond words. the awareness that sees and experiences the internal visualizations, dialogue, beliefs and emotions, you will be enlightened. when you finish this sentence and realize that you have been in the state of non judgment, no ego, and "non mind" for all this time that you've been reading this, you will be enlightened. because right now you are enlightened. you have always been enlightened, we have always been enlightened. Because you realize that seeking enlightenment is like a dog running in circles, trying to catch and own his own tail. not knowing that he already owns it. you're awake :) now be good and see me as yourself and send me a thank you :P

Summarize and crystallize the whole Diamond Sutra - it's just 1 word - Non-Attachment! For it is written : "Non-Attachment is the foundation of Self Realization or Enlightenment". That which "doesn't know", knows when one possesses a "Non-abiding" Mind!

The monk on the left seems to be tapping into some arcane power to absorb the life force and karma-tic energies of the Monk in the center speaking The Buddhist teacher speaking seems unaware that the audience is using some sort of magic to absorb his powers while they ask him questions about Ego. Lol this is just a joke but seriously consider some of the Religious Rituals and ceremonies you participate in always be careful when you dabble into Religion because it is magic that you may not understand.

My dear fellow seeker. At a certain moment you mentioned (another video) to forget about Buddha. If It present itself as a zen/ (buddhist) master.Even change the given name by birth Dress like it.Talk like it. It usually is a .... Take off your robe . Forget about Zen and try to master any "situation" Life impose on you. Let your neighbors discover you before you make yourself known to them. That also goes for me ofcourse
