These Lions were extremely unique in their behavior.They stalked victims in a very tactful manner. It was as if they were doing it out of enjoyment.They were also unique that they were male Lions that didn't have manes.

Listening to this while working makes me more excited for Deer hunting this weekend !!

when this video was uploaded grey wolves were so overpopulated in Canada and the Northern US that packs regularly had in the 20-40 wolves when they naturally range 6-10 without human infrastructure. There is a major difference between culling wolves because they are wolves and because they are violently overpopulated because of human roads and logging.

I was Night hunting in Georgia in 1978,,,,,,,,,,,my Uncle worked for GA Power and Timber and had access to a huge chuck of land,,,,,,,there was a Soy bean field that backed up to a Huge swamp,,,,,,,i was in a tree overlooking the bean field and swamp,,,,,,,,,,i hear someone throwing HUGE Boulders into the water,,,,ka-BOOM it would go into the water,,,then i heard some Ducks running on the water trying to get air born,,,,,they were quacking and wings flopping,,,then i Heard this God awful SCREAM,,,,,,i had heard that Panther screams sound like a woman screaming and this sounded like that,,,,,,WHAT in the world is going on i thought ??? I sat there a few minutes and then,,,Quack quack quack,,,Ka-BOOM and screams like ya never heard,,,, i said screw this,,,pointed my 25-06 toward the scream and fired a round toward him,,,,,,,,that will shut him up,,,,,, a few minutes later,,,,quack quack,,, Ka-BOOM and hear come the SCREAMS,,,,,,,,i came flying out of that tree,,,, i missed the second half of the ladder and plopped on the ground,,,i got up and took off like a CHICKEN running for my life while saying, Please Lord dont let him bite me on the back of my neck,,,,,,i made it across the soy bean field and DOVE into my Pontiac Catalina and Locked the doors,,,,,,,,i never thought i would be scared if i had my Rifle,,,,,WRONG !!!!!! That screaming at night and by yourself,,,,,,,ya got NO idea how SPOOKY that is. I got to my Uncles house and he looked at me and said, whats wrong Boy ?? I told him the story, the Ka-boom was Beavers slapping their tails and he said Fish and Game had found Deer back there covered up by Panthers they had killed,, i said well there for sure is one back there Right NOW. i was 18 then,,,,i wont RUN Now !!!!!!!!

Oh I am glad I found this, I read this book as a child in Rhodesia as a young boy in the 1950s to listen to it read so eloquently brings back a multitude of memories of my youth and a life time of hunting. It’s very sad to realise that whoever read this narrative or posted it on line no longer does so, but wherever and whatever has my heartfelt thanks.

Horrible how Indian and African coolies had to go through this fate all bcz the English people wanted to build rail roads so they could carry the gold, diamonds and all the stolen from Africa to their country. This is the reality that England is built on the deaths of millions of innocent people and will forever be cursed.

I'd have loved to have been around back then to be able able to hunt and tramp that country back then like they did with nobody else around and nobody to tell you what to hunt or fish

Could you imagine that hunting Africa in the 20's 30' with modern powders in those big bore rifles stepping into a untouched by modern man African savannah! Battling mega fauna left over from the last ice age!

What an adventure; the kind that makes the hair stand up in the back of your neck. Much respect toColonel Patterson.

Might be one of the best “African hunting” books I’ve ever read/listen too. Entertaining with African lifestyle and culture to actual hunting safaris. Highly recommend this book for those that are into the safari adventure.

The adventure did not end in the 70s. I went on safaris throughout the 80s and 90s and up until present day in Tanzania, Botswana, Zimbabwe,Mozambique, Cameroon, and Ethiopia.

I dont care if it was 1900s or a 'different time' getting pleasure out of killing animals for the sake of it is just disgusting. For food fair enough, there's an actual purpose but this shit is just sick.
