Around 4K USD of which 600 in clubs. With current market prizes my players and clubs would definitely be worth double that, but I am not selling anytime soon. I also treat it as a hobby, rather than an investment, but it's nice that my assets yield these rewards and that they become worth more as the game grows.

Right now without promotion and relegation, I think it is better to start as high as possible. Stones sell for around 80, Iron floor is 110 and Bronze approaching 200 already. So for 30 dollar more you already have an upgrade and the rewards are significantly higher for each higher tier. To illustrate, ending 8th in Bronze = 1800 $MFL, 8th in Iron = 750 $MFL , 8th in Stone = 375 $MFL so prize money/rewards are significantly different. Also, there are quite some stacked Stone teams that are as good as most bronze teams. That being said, when promotion/relegation starts (probably in a couple of alpha season), make sure to have a competitive Bronze squad as relegating will hurt your value and rewards of course. Finally, floors will keep rising and a new division (Wood?) will be added soon, so worth to start higher. With a small budget right now I'd go for Iron and if you really like MFL, maybe move up to Bronze when you are willing to spend a bit more before relegation/promotion madness starts. Very good point about the cup! That changes thing a little as you could get way higher rewards with those stacked teams indeed. Although bit risky as you could get kicked out in the group stage and get 0 MFL. And higher club are quite pricy yes so can imagine you really look forward to promotion. About the clubs, the club drops all sold out although some people still have some gold/silver/bronze licenses they did not establish.

Yes, should be stressed more definitely. Will make another video like this when season 1 is around the corner and managers will need to consider whether to sacrifice player dev for promotion or not

It's still in development so the match gameplay does not look great. Alpha seasons are happening right now. You could also play it with just one player of 2 or 3 USD and be an agent, but to be a manager you would need to spend 70-80 USD indeed to own a club. However, you can always sell the club again on the market if you don't like the game. You will also win MFL points which you can spend on getting new players. These players you can sell again on the market. So you could break even easily and play it for free in the end. Anyway, not pushing you to play, just to inform and spread the word of web3gaming and MFL. There are loads of scams though so you have all the right to be cautious.

Yes, you have to pay something to play it, but you can also win on lower levels with a small investment and signing a lot of good players for a share of your revenue in MFL points. With MFL points you can buy new players and sell those on the market for USD. So it is also 'play to earn' and you can recover your initial investment.

It depends on where you are looking to compete in the MFL pyramid. For the cost of a new copy of FIFA or FM, you could pick up a Stone Division club (currently the lowest tier) in MFL. You only have to buy the club once instead of getting a new version of FIFA or FM every year. There arent any paid in-game boosts or anything like that. You could then use the in-game transfer market to sign players for a portion of your league/cup winnings. At the intro level, you can sign common players (with a rating under 65) for as low as 0.5 - 2.0% and keep 60-80% of your club winnings. And then if you do purchase players, you control that player until they eventually retire or you sell them to another agent. So from that perspective, it is cheaper than something like FIFA Ultimate Team where people spend a lot of $ that does not roll over from year to year. If you wanted to jump into the top of the pyramid, it would be expensive, yes, but you dont have to do that any a lot of new users are entering through the Stone Division.

Fair enough, if you want complexity and in-depth football management, FM is by far the best game in the world. However, if you like to compete against real managers from all over the world, play a game with a real economy and build a legacy for decades, MFL might be fun too. For FM you pay 60 USD each year, for MFL you can pay 80 USD once and play forever with this club, the players you can sign for free. It's pay to win in the sense that you would have to spend quite some money to win the Diamond League, but Man City and Real Madrid also spend a lot of money to win the Champions League. 80 USD is enough to be competitive in the Stone and Iron League.

First you would need to consider the strength of your opposition in the league. If you are one of the better teams you could play with a higher defensive line and play with more controlled passing, more crosses. If you are one of the weaker teams, I would play with a lower defensive line, more direct passing and compact defending. As a rule of thumb, I would not go crazy with the instructions and keep things mostly on balanced but change one or two things that fit your team and tactics. So maybe with a lot of dribblers, do more dribbling and with fast defenders you could try a higher line etc. In a 4-3-3 I can imagine that you want to do more crossing with your wingers and play a bit more wide or more narrow and do more dribbling.
