Russia's full-scale invasion of Ukraine has been going on for a year and a half now, but the war itself began back in 2014, when the Russian Federation occupied Ukrainian Crimea and brought the war to Donbas, along with its "little green men." There are not only victories in war, of course, there are also bitter defeats, such as the battle for Ilovaisk, or often called the "Ilovaisk tragedy" in Ukraine. Today, August 29, is the ninth anniversary of the battle for this Ukrainian city and the day of remembrance for the fallen defenders of Ukraine. It is very important to remember those events that are part of one great war for the existence of Ukraine as a state and Ukrainians as a nation.....
