$90 QUAD HD Video Player - Crazy!

Very affordable way to do digital signage, video testing, teaching, troubleshooting, kiosks, and more. To be able to get four 1080p signals over four HDMI cables, always in sync, playing endlessly for whatever your needs are. This little box works better and is easier to use than I expected. Not only can it play back and split a 4K video file into 4 HD signals (when you line the clips up right)...

Like the video Anthony - but then again, your videos are always great. Important question - - - does this work with the YoloBox Pro, too?
Not yet, but Frank has said the intent is for it to work on the other YoloBoxes.
They really need you back on the yolo team ,your break downs are super important and brilliantly executed
And I'd be happy to make them. But they're having AI make them now, so don't got to pay anybody.
That is a really cool device. Growing lineup of options.
Absolutely. I can see it making things easier for a lot of people.
First View From INDIA
Enjoy!
❤Awesome show! Thank You
I'm glad you think it was awesome - it's frustrating to have things NOT work like I want, but, in the end, that can provide more of a learning experience!
Can the YOLObox Pro do NDI?
One input now.
Graphics making of tricaster is powerful or basic?
The answer to that is kind of complex, because the one I have is a bit older, it has built-in graphics capability but not animated. Newer models are more powerful, and there's also a subscription service which offers even more capability.
It actually works with 7 ... if you use a Metabones adapter for the last 3 :)
@@EmeraldAudiovisual which ones?
@@StreamTeknology Canon CN-E 18-80mm T/4.4 L IS, CN-E 70-200mm T/4.4 L IS and as of BMD camera firmware 8.1, the Studio cameras (unfortunately not the Pocket series) also support the Canon EF-S 18-135mm F/3.5-5.6 IS USM with the Canon PZ-E1 power zoom adapter (this always worked for focus demand, but zoom control was not possible until camera firmware 8.1). Those three lenses will work on the Studio 4k cameras with a Metabones Speedbooster, on top of the two Lumix and the two Olympus lenses. Given, the two CN-E lenses are a bit pricey.
@@EmeraldAudiovisual AH, okay! I didn't know that. I appreciate you commenting with the information!
Great video & extensive review!
Thank you!
Is there a method to enable HDMI with the VM33?
Not as far as I know.
Am I correct in assuming that using NDI from 2 cameras on a portable router would be a bad idea? Would using hdmi transmitters be a superior option?
I don't think most portable hotspot / routers are designed for a lot of in and out traffic. They are mostly designed to deliver data form the internet, or to the internet. I just published a new video on 7 tips for Mobile Multicam Success. ruclips.net/video/Icqeq-vUb9k/видео.html
It's really, ***really*** too bad that the thumbnail/presets functionality doesn't extend to the buffers - at least it doesn't on the TC-1.
I know.
Yes, chain is long, I probably will start with HLG,
I think this space was an afterthought, not originally designed for video.
Agreed - but there's so many choices that made here that just don't make any sense. I ran Frisco Studios right down the street, I run the Frisco Area creatives local networking group, This is the Frisco Libeary. I would have loved to collab on it.
Is there a way to have input like in the OBS browser source?
Not that I'm aware of.
Can I have an animated Video/Lower Thirds - with a transparent background format WEBM or video with ALPHA channels on top of the Program?
I do not believe the GoStream supports WEBM or Alpha channels. There is a DSK function, but it looks limited to luma key from content inside the GoStream
@@StreamTeknology Thank you for such quick replay, but is there way to have animated overlay of lower thirds?
@@RolandsZeltins You coudl to an overlay of one source over another and then utilize green or bluescreen, and then key the background out. I have seen this successfully done with Powerpoint animations.
Grate Video, Thank you. What would be good switcher with 4K and HDR Livestreaming capabilities to RUclips and AV1 codec support for streaming :D
I don't know. - I don't know because no client of mine has requested 4K streaming, let alone 4K and HDR. So I've not had the need to investigate and solve for carrying 4K HDR all the way through to the viewer.
@@StreamTeknology I have had recently few ask about HDR Livestreaming, and I want to be Future prof with 4k. As I understand, OSEE GoStream Duet supports only 1080p, INPUT/OUTPUT/LIVESTREAMING?
@@RolandsZeltins HDR livestreaming is valuable for those you can ensure have the ability to view it in HDR. Is this like a closed-circuit broadcast where you know the viewing audience and can control the systems being used for playback? Otherwise, there's a lot of variables - does the switcher handle HDR, which flavors? Is it supported through the codec used to send the stream? Does the CDN support it if it's recompressed into a different codec? Is it properly flagged through the whole chain? Does the playing device (Rok? Tablet? Computer and screen?) properly display the flagged HDR? Is it being watched in an environment that will benefit from HDR content (living rooms, theatres)? if so, then the process of finding each of those components that do this will be your starting point, before testing.
Hello there, I am a newbie trying to livestream a rodeo event, having some trouble navigating this new realm of tech. I've done some research and found the Yolobox pro or ultra may possibly suit my needs, my question is if I am using multiple camera angles that are decently far apart and maybe even a mobile camera with an operator walking around, how would one effectively livestream from each camera? Is using a HDMI transmitter(like a Hollyland) on each camera a normal solution for this type of setup? And if I'm on the right track do you have any equipment suggestions for me, like Cameras, transmitters, yolobox model? Thank you very much for your time.
Depends on your budget, the space you need to cover, inside outside, the type of cameras, and other factors. I can offer consulting if you're looking to do a deep dive to find the right solution.
@StreamTeknology Thank you for your response. I am interested in possibly doing a consulation with you to get into specifics, but without you having to spend too much time on me, if you could just let me know if I'm on the right track or if I'm way off base I would appreciate it as I've had a lot of trouble finding anyone experienced in this field to give me direct advice. Just to keep it very simple, the type of events I'm doing are outdoors and in small arenas average about 75-100 meters across. I just need a clear picture livestream for viewers to see whats going on, it needs to be watchable and enjoyable, it doesnt need to be some insane 4k production, just good enough to not look amateur in quality. I'll be positioned very close to operate the equipment and switch camera angles, 2 stationary cameras and 1 roaming camera with someone walking around the arena. Its a small operation that I'm trying to streamline/simplify. As of now, my idea is to use 2 camcorders(looking at models costing around $1000) because of the ease of use, 1 mirrorless camera, and utilizing a Yolobox to livestream to multiple platforms. Was thinking of using wireless hdmi transmitters for 2 of the cameras as they will not be nearby the Yolobox. I know you are experienced enough to let me know if I sound completely out-of-my-league-amateur-who-is-going-to-mess-this-up or if I'm on some semblance of a right path. Also, is a sim card in the yolobox a normal practice or are there more reliable methods? Again thank you greatly for your time.
@@eye1dry138 Yes, I think you're on a good path, and I can offer some specific recommendations that can help save you some money and offer operational flexibility. Use my contact form at stream4.us
Hello. Thank you for this video. As i see from my view, for someone who needs to do a high end show production it worth. But the biggest dis-advantage is that it seems overpriced for a producer that dont need all the features and dont have the budget to buy a 2nd machine for other things. For example the tricaster mini 4k it supports 4 cameras and it costs about 5000-6000$. If i need for example only 2 or 3 cameras and 1 external output and 1 ndi input-output you dont have the option to buy something cheaper. There comes vmix that gives you the option to buy the HD version for 350$ and update it as needed and BMD that gives you the option to buy a decklink duo for 500$ and do your job. Other than this with 5000$ you can really make a good pc that when you dont stream in the same pc,you can also have your editing program like premiere or davinci and do also your editing. As i understand tricaster is pc windows without being a pc windows,so you cant for example change to a better GPU without VIZRT support or use it like a normal windows pc and. Also for time to spare. Yes vmix is empty but as i see tricaster also needs to take some courses and spare time to find the logic it works. So time is same thing. For someone new person or old person like myself (i work to a small local tv station with analog equiment for about 20 years and 3 years now in vmix system) i see also that i need time to learn how tricaster works as i needed time to find how vmix works. Finally from my view if someone doesnt need the movement virtualsets and 2 externals and 4k, it is simply overpriced
im not smart, but i understand the card analogy
Great!
Very good, thank you
You're welcome.
This was a great find. I hope they add the DJI Osmo mobile control like they used to have in the beta years ago, I remember testing this option on the beta. Unfortunately adding an IOS remote camera don´t work for me, the colors of the remote IOS camera show red and green dots all over the screen. It's unusable and because it's free, probably they will not fix it.
As mentioned, it's orphaned. Let's discuss in the Airmix group.
Hi Anthony, Where can I buy Google Wifi pucks with a USB-C power supply? I searched on Amazon, but they don't have the USB-C power supply. Thanks for sharing a lot of info in this video.
As people "up[grade" I see the best place to get them is Facebook Marketplace. I just recently bought a box of 5.
Thank you, Anthony! This is very helpful. I travel to Spain every year to cover a boardgame convention. Bring your own WiFi! Oh, boy! Will do next time. Cheers!
Thanks! Yes. The biggest fail I see people hit is when they rely on the venue's wifi. It never works as _we_ need it, because it's not OUR WiFi. Rule 1 - Bring your own WiFi.
I got caught on ‘fair use’ after using approximately 10 gigabytes I got dumped. Had go to own mobile data to continue anyway
And this whole video is brilliant! The tips are spot on! Bring on wifi, back up camera, everything so good! 👍
Thank you - Share with your fellow peeps in whatever video groups you might be in.
That is the best explanation of the wifi frequencys sharing and signal interference I have Heard and seen. I definitely will be sharing this with the airmen at work.
Thank you sir!
Great tips, Anthony. Really appreciate. Question: Is Yolobox Ultra a better bet as wifi source given the bonding feature vs Asus "the beast"?
I wouldn't use the YoloBox as a "WiFi Source" because it's not designed to be a powerful wireless access point and pass data back and forth between devices. The Asus is purpose built for that single purpose.
@@StreamTeknology Thanks so much
I really like this idea. Can I ask, how do you make a 4K video from 4 1080p videos?
Take your non-linear editor of choice, and then put four 1080p videos in the four corners of a 4K timeline. That's what 4K is. Top left, top right, bottom left, bottom right. You may need to adjust the exact position of the different HD video clips to match how the 4K player cuts up the 4K video back into HD clips..
I use the TP-link Omada AX3000 EAP650 outdoor. Uses Poe, so only a Ethernet cord. Wifi6. It’s Omada but you can run in as Standalone. Switch on ofdma and use iPhone 11 or newer. I switch off 2.4. 5 iPhones. Netgear M6 into Tp-link 5 port Poe+ switch.
Sounds like a great piece of gear!
Wow, really interesting. Thank you for sharing, lots of good knowledge.
Glad you enjoyed it!
I need a code to sign in. When I insert the USB it asks for a code What is the code?
There is no code for the USB modem. If you're being asked for a code, that's something else going on.
This is so amazing! I'm thinking of adding streaming services as a product/service to my video production company. The Osee GoStream Duet seems to check all the boxes. This video is sooo helpful! Thank you for sharing
Happy to help. If you buy one, use my link in the description and I can make $1
Bright and Excelent Idea 😊 👏
Thank you! 😊
Please make a baseball ball count on the scoreboard. Please mark the inning ball strikeout runner.
This would be a great recommendation for the YoloLiv Facebook group where the Yolo team interacts with users like you.
I also use the tricaster mini everyday and your explanation was excellent! You could have done another hour introducing the 2 streaming output to other features!! I don’t use the M/E’s as much as I should! Great reminder!!!
Thanks for the compliments! I intended this as a general overview, so I didn't want to go too deep into usage.
@@StreamTeknology I've become a very, very frequent viewer and find all of your content informative!!! I've been enjoying it for quite some time!! I totally understand it was an overview. Tricaster is deep and your explanation was on point!!! Keep up the great video and features, and I will keep tuning in!!
You showed a protective screen cover from a company that also made a cradle... but i forgot to write it down. Could you reply with that cimpany as well as any other must have companion products for the DM youve come across a DM user would enjoy.

@StreamTeknology thank you. I ordered the cage and the protector. There is an option for custom engraving on each item, just as an FYI... but you probably know that.
Frank from Yololiv mentioned January and 149 in his livestream earlier about the Yolodeck ... Do you know if he means January 2025 and $149.00 USD ? seems like a long time from now.... thanks.

i love this review... you have merged a room review with a live streaming tech review.
Thanks!
I've never seen a library look so fun ...
Is a fun design and a lot of interactive elements for young kids.
But where's the ham radio gear? Mark AA3K
Different room. :)
All of these boxes, YOLO, director mini and Teradek have issues when you plug something in or out when you are live streaming.
Actually the Director Mini seemed to be fine with me unplugging and replugging. It had issues with the NDI feed form the Ultra and when I deleted that, it ran just fine the rest of the show.
@@StreamTeknology the main culprit is the yolomini. It does not like it at all when you unplug or remove a physical device while streaming it freezes. Director mini main issue is you cannot start a stream early as it will not stream it.
👏👏👏
Thanks, Anthony.
Does this unit offer lower third streaming chyrons?
Yes, built-in title creation.
Re handing off paths to other devices... i can hear myself now when doing a complicated news program "Honey... can you come push my buttons?"
After watching a few of your videos I can see why your no longer on the payroll with Yolobox. That being said your honesty and opinions with your reviews is appreciated...
Thank you for the kind words
