Everyone faces grief alone. Other people cannot feel what you feel. Moving on is an individual process. It is 16 years for me since the loss of my wife, I enjoy each day as best I can.

I can’t imagine. I am older than my husband so I like to tell him I get to go first. I don’t want him sad. I have given him 2 daughters who will be involved in his life. But I hope he finds some way to find peace and hope. Even new friends who will, help him get through as we don’t have many friends anymore. We did when we were young. But most have gone in other directions. I can’t imagine life without him. I do know if I were not to go first I would have a husky and a cat. I find so much joy and companionship with my huskies. They are really great companions. So smart. I’ve always had cats, and they are precious. I like to watch a movie with my cat and sometimes in the afternoon I’ll watch some videos with my dog. I rescued huskies. Pets are expensive. But I believe there are ways to get around some of the expensive. And cats and dogs are some work. But that work gets you up and moving. Once I had a major surgery. And my husband comes home with 5 baby chicks. He set the bucket next to the couch. I had to get up to get them water and food. And I enjoyed watching them and I studied about their care. It got my mind off of the surgery, the pain. And I got moving. I do believe a pet can bring comfort and friendship. In any situation where you have gone through a big change. I know some people feel they can’t physically handle a pet, but I’m disabled with severe psoriatic arthritis. I have damage to my spine. If I can do it anyone can. You just need to realize that the pet needs you. Without you they will suffer. They need food , water or even medicine. So no matter how much pain you are in know your pet needs to come first. A pet gives you something to live for. And animals belong to God. So know that caring for Gods animal will be a blessing in your life.

I walked 1200 miles when I reached 70. I wild camped most of the way and enjoyed every minute of the walk.

being alone can be a lonely time in your life with no friends to talk to makes it very hard to get on with your life it seems like nothing really matters but life must go on

Mornings are the worst. It’s a day to day existence. So difficult.

When more then one person exists, there is possibilities of disagreements!! Even in a old home. Because you are truly confined to yourself in your room. You step out and there you may find yourself into another level of sociopaths!! Now the choice is yours’ in either case adjustment are needed!!
