Are you saying to cast to a computer monitor, or to both a computer monitor and a TV at the same time? First question, yes, but if it's the second, that would be a very good question - I don't have a Samsung phone so I can't say for certain, but usually you wouldn't be able to "cast" to two devices at once. If your phone is connected to your monitor via cable, maybe it's possible 🤔 is it an option to just monitor on your computer screen without the TV or not have it connected to your computer screen and just cast to the TV?

@Sam10X I have to have a bigger screen in front of me while I play drums. This is why the laptop alone doesn't work for that. But yes the 1st question was right. Just wanted to know if plugging this into a computer monitor (with no computer system) would allow me to Cast my phone screen to it. Thanks

Hey Susie, I think your TV is definitely smarter than my parents'! I'm glad you enjoyed my video but unfortunately I wouldn't be able to physically help you - I suggest a service like airtasker or similar to find someone that could assist. I absolutely understand the feeling of just wanting something to work!! To your questions - you can definitely switch back to free to air as you need and only need to get 4K if your TV is 4K (just need to search the model to confirm). Hope you find a way to get it all working 🙏

@Sam10X thanks for getting back to me. I def have a 4k oled lg tv. I would be able to set up if i could get behind screen which is wall mounted. Itsdoesnt swivel.. However, I've been reading reviews,ts google tv 4k is a load of rubbish and buffering and logs out after a couple of hours. Should I go for just the cheaper HD version. Have your parents had many problems with the 4k version. . Also, does it have KAYO . Tha t s very important. I have a tv that has 2 strings youyou need to pull down and then you need to pull them down again to fasten or clip back. What would you ask airtaskeras i have a tv already mounted but cant get behind the tv to plug the google tv in Also do i needto havekayo on myphone or justneed logons

Hey Susie, I don’t have the HD version but my parents haven’t had an issues with the 4K so maybe that’s a good sign. It looks like you can download the Kayo app directly on Google TV and login without needing it on your phone. As for the installation you can probably just describe it as you are now, good luck! 🤞

I'm unsure what you mean by using this and Apple TV - you can use them separately? I don't believe you can install a VPN directly on the Chromecast but you can install a VPN on a compatible router to then connect to the internet 👍

If you have an iPhone you should be able to both cast (aka airplay) as well as mirror your phone on your Apple TV without the need for a Chromecast... probably no need for a Chromecast in this case

The idea is to just use the one, otherwise you end up basically having unique passwords to remember again - I’ve made another video that goes into more detail 👌

That’s right, 4K will be more expensive. Sounds like you only need the HD one unless you want to future proof in case you get a new TV 👍

Sir, you know that there are free services out there, right? Also, there are things that you can download using the downloader app that allow you to watch things for free. Sure, those things you download might not be official. However, if you are struggling and don't have much money, then I feel it'd be the best option for you.

Maybe future gen smart TVs can do all of that 😉

Appreciate it Chris 🙏 we all need a friend like that, just change it up a bit so it doesn’t look too obvious 😉 Lots of travelling makes this an interesting problem, I haven’t thought about this enough for a great solution - initial thoughts are to set up per-app biometrics/pin where that allows as a starting point, so just because they have your unlocked phone doesn’t mean they can get into every app. You could use Authy that has 2FA backups, or consider having your 2FA codes in something like Bitwarden (I’m sure there are arguments against having 2FA in the same place as passwords but you could always use a different password manager). I’ve also recently seen that standard notes offers the ability to store encrypted 2FA codes. Bitwarden can be set up to require biometrics, so using these options you could sync across different devices so if one is stolen you can use another device for 2FA, maybe that could be good for you to look into!

Personally I have carrie’s a important key around my neck when borrowed someone’s vacation home . They said someone in the family got locked out and locksmith $200 . After reminding me many times I showed my safety method .

They however, could run the common passwords list through the hasher, creating a method at least a factor of N faster, because they don't need to test the list on every account, and they won't be rate limited either. Thus having this hash would tell them important information if you use a password on their common password list

@@Sam10X "A stored copy of your full password on their side" What part of that indicates the password is not just in full text. Just admit you were wrong and try to do more research in the future. You clearly have no clue what you are talking about this was one simple mistake in a video of many simple mistakes.
